Israel - Holy Land Tour Part 3: Mount Arbel / Sepphoris / Nazareth / Magdala
Step into the Holy Land with Evangelist Peter Hockley.
Mount Arbel first - with an amazing view of Lower Galilee and giving a sense of the extraordinary distances Jesus and His disciples walked on foot. After that, a brief stop at Sepphoris, once a principle city not far from Nazareth. It was rebuilt during the early 1st Century and Jesus, being a Tekton (carpenter/craftsman), was almost certainly involved. Then it's on to Nazareth itself and a beautiful recreation of the village as it was in the time of Christ, the Church of the Annunciation and Mount Precipice (where the mob tried to kill Jesus). Finally, we pay a visit to Magdala, the fishing town that was the home of Mary Magdalene. Yes - we really did all of this in one day!

Magdala / Mount Arbel / Sea of Galilee / Dalia Taverna
Magdala (Aramaic: מגדלא / Magdala, meaning tower; Hebrew: מגדל / Migdal; Arabic: المجدل / al-Majdal) was an ancient city on the shore of the Sea of Galilee. In the Babylonian Talmud it is known as Magdala Nunayya (Aramaic: מגדלא נוניה, meaning Tower of the Fishes). It is believed to be the birthplace of Mary Magdalene.

Israel , where to visit in israel the holy land?
Mount Gilboa, located in the Lower Galilee region, south of the Sea of Galilee is one of Israel’s most beautiful spots. Whilst spring saturates the mountains in pretty wildflowers, no matter what the season, Mount Gilboa is a stunning, tranquil area to explore, offering a break from the intense summer heat with a cool breeze. The Gilboa Scenic Road is your access point into this array of hikes, viewpoints, picnic sites, bike paths, and stunning outlooks, and is a great path to follow when exploring the area.

MAGDALA, CAPERNAUM, MOUNT ARBEL
MAGDALA, where Jesus Christ began his ministry. The village is called Magdala ( Migdal in Hebrew ) and it's the home of Mary Magdalene.
CAPERNAUM, at the time of Jesus Christ , Capernaum was wealthy Jewish town. Here where Jesus Christ met His first disciples Peter, Andrew, James, John and Matthew, all fishermen who worked on the Sea of Galilee. Jesus Christ performed many miracles in Capernaum and the surrounding area. Here He healed Peter's wife's mother of fever, brought a child back to life, cured a leper, healed the centurion's servant and cast out the spirits with his word and healed all were sick ( Matthew 8:16 ) Among His many teaching here were the parable of the sower, of tares among the wheat, of a grain of mustard seed, of the treasure hidden in the field and the fishing net.
The ruins of the white limestone synagogue from 300 A.D; built in the typical basilica style are believe to stand on the site of the original synagogue in which Jesus Christ preached during His ministry in Galilee.
MOUNT ARBEL, are located in the eastern Lower Galilee, on the Arbel Plateau. A sheer cliff rising majestically above the Sea of Galilee with a magnificent view of the Goland Heights and Mount Hermon; an ancient community that left remnants of its fine synagogue; trails to a cave-fortress nestled in the rock- these are the Arbel: a nature reserve and natural park, a jewel of nature and landscape and an ancient heritage site unparalleled in Israel.
CAPERNAUM - Biblical Israel Ministries & Tours
Walk through Capernaum, with Biblical Israel Ministries & Tours. Capernaum served as Jesus' home base for his Galilean ministry. Stories from Mark 1,2, 9; Luke 7; and John 6 all took place here. Jesus also called His disciples somewhere along the shoreline of the lake. Go to biblicalisraeltours.com for all upcoming evangelical Christian Israel trips.

Mount Arbel and Nahal Amud in Galile and

*Mount Arbel (Hebrew: הר ארבל, Har Arbel) is a mountain in The Lower Galilee near Tiberias in Israel,
with high cliffs, views of Mount Hermon in the Golan Heights, trails to a cave-fortress, and ruins of an
ancient synagogue. Mt. Arbel sits across from Mount Nitai; their cliffs were created as a result of the
Jordan Rift Valley and the geological faults that produced the valleys.
Nearby are the ruins of an ancient Jewish settlement with a Synagogue from the fourth century C.E. with
extend pews and columns, and dug into the mountain itself are a number of cliff dwellings
There are documented Jewish cliff
dwellings dating back to the Second temple period, in the area, few standing stones left from
synagogues from that period. Josephus writes about the Roman conquest of some of the last
Hasmonean rebels who dwelt in the cliffs of Mt Arbel
*Nahal Yehudiya Hikes -- waterfalls and pools in the Yehudiya Forest Nature Reserve in golan hights.
*The Nahal Amud (Hebrew: נחל עמוד), also known as the Wadi Amud, is a stream in the Upper Galilee
that spills into the Sea of Galilee.
The stream's source, Ramat Dalton, is located 800 meters above sea level. Its drainage basin includes
the peaks of Mount Canaan (955 meters) and Mount Meron (1,204 meters) and flows south through
eastern Galilee to the northwest part of the Sea of Galilee - a height of less than 200 meters below sea
level. The stream is named after a pillar that rises high above ground and is located near a channel of
the stream near Kibbutz Hokuk.

My name is Zahi Shaked
In 2000 I became a registered liscenced tourist guide.
My dedication in life is to pass on the ancient history of the Holy Land.
Following upon many years of travel around the world, which was highlighted by a very exciting emotional and soul-searching meeting with the Dalai Lama, I realized that I had a mission. To pass on the the history of the Holy Land, its religions, and in particular, the birth and development of Christianity.
In order to fulfill this calling in the best way possible, I studied in depth, visited, and personally experienced each and every important site of the ancient Christians. I studied for and received my first bachelors degree in the ancient history of the Holy Land, and am presently completing my studies for my second degree.(Masters)
Parralel to my studies, and in order to earn a living, I was employed for many years in advertising. What I learned there was how to attract the publics attention, generate and, increase interest, and assimilate information. All this I use as tools to describe, explain and deepen the interest in the sites that we visit. From my experience, I have learned that in this way, the Holy Land becomes more than just history, and that the large stones that we see scattered about in dissaray, join together one by one until they become - a Byzantine Church. This also happens when I lead a group of Pilgrims in the Steps of Jesus. We climb to the peak of Mount Precipice, glide over the land to the Sea of Galilee, land on the water and see the miracle which enfolds before us. This is a many faceted experience. Not only history which you will remember and cherish, but an experience which I hope will be inplanted in your hearts and minds, and will accompany you all the days of your life.

Mount Arbel
Israel Discovery Tour 2012 visited this outstanding landmark on the Sea of Galilee. Mount Arbel is the location of slaughter of Jews by the Assyrians . Later, King Herod killed the Yeshuite Division of the priests about 70 a.d. The view from the mount is incredible. The village of Magdala is below the peak, the place where Mary Magdala lived.
