Direct access from Tokyo Station to Urabandai Lake Resort hotel in Kitashiobara village. It takes about 5 hours by bus but you can also take the train to Koriyama and and then rent a car.

AIZU WAKAMATSU CITY + GOSHIKINUMA
Because Caleb’s mom is visiting us from Florida, our employers took us out for a day of sightseeing.
Our first stop was Aizu Wakamatsu City where we saw Tsurugajo Castle, and took a tour through the museum.
From there we went to lunch and then stopped by Goshikinuma, which is a cluster of 5 colored lakes on the base of Mt. Bandai.
We were planning to go to an art museum afterwards, but we ran out of time, and came home instead.
It has been so awesome having Caleb’s mom here with us - stay tuned for the next few videos because we’re taking her to Tokyo!

奇跡の森・五色沼【ドローン空撮】The Mysterious Swamps in TOHOKU
磐梯朝日国立公園内の五色沼、青い湖面と森の緑が何とも神秘的な空間を作っています。何度か訪れたことはあるものの、いつか空撮をと思っていた場所です。天気にも恵まれ感動的な色で迎えてくれました。

開催：2018.5.27 中田浜キャンプ場様、管轄の若松警察署警備課様への周知済み（国土交通省申請許可者3名在籍、5名参加）
※今月のオフ会は猪苗代スポーツクラブ様のご協力により猪苗代湖中田浜キャンプ場様をお借りしての実践フライトとなりました。農繁期で参加者は半分にも満たなかったのですが、やはり観光地ですから安全管理面では気が抜けません。
参加の会員様には初夏を感じながら、雄大な磐梯山と猪苗代湖の魅力を撮影頂けたのではないでしょうか^^;

福島の四季より ～初夏 会津磐梯山・猪苗代湖～
この作品は、福島県を代表する名峰会津磐梯山と猪苗代湖の初夏を紹介するものです。
会津磐梯山（あいづばんだいさん）は、猪苗代町、磐梯町、北塩原村にまたがる大山で、かたちが富士山に似ていることから会津富士とも呼ばれ、日本百名山に選定されるなど、福島県のシンボルの一つです。猪苗代湖との位置関係からみるとその北側にそびえる活火山で、標高は１８１６㍍、主峰の磐梯山のほか赤埴山（標高１４３０㍍）と櫛ヶ峰（標高１６３６㍍）を総称して磐梯山と呼ばれています。明治２１年（西暦１８８８年）７月１５日に水蒸気爆発があり、これにより大規模な山体崩壊を起こし犠牲者が実に４７７人に上る大災害となったということです。
猪苗代湖（いなわしろこ）は、会津若松市、郡山市及び猪苗代町にまたがる国内で４番目に広い湖面を持っています。別名天鏡湖（てんきょうこ）とも呼ばれ、いろいろな面で福島県のシンボルとなっています。磐梯朝日国立公園に属し湖面の標高は５１４mで、全国でも標高の高い湖に入っています。

Mt. Bandai in Full Colors
Driving around Mt. Bandai and its sorrounding adorned with colorful leaves during autumn. Mount Bandai (磐梯山, Bandaisan) is a 1816 meter tall, dormant volcano overlooking Aizu-Wakamatsu in western Fukushima Prefecture. One of the 100 famous mountains of Japan, it used to have a conical shape that earned it the nickname Aizu-Fuji due to is resemblance to Mount Fuji. However in 1888, Mount Bandai underwent the most devastating volcanic eruption in recent Japanese history, which drastically changed the mountain's shape and formed the Urabandai area behind the volcano.
