A spent a morning walking the trails of the Southern Ridges Walk (南部山脊步行), which is actually a series of trails connecting to each other thru Mt Faber Park, over the Henderson Waves (恆基波), and into Kent Ridge Park's jungle canopy walk. You need good hiking shoes and be prepared to sweat buckets! Takes a few hours if done properly - and didn't see any monkeys, thank god! This video is deliberately long to fully express the conditions of the hike! Recorded April 25, 2012.

Mount Faber Park
One of the oldest parks in Singapore, Mount Faber Park is a popular tourist destination, offering visitors a host of activities.
Take a cable car from Mount Faber to Sentosa Island and enjoy the stunning view of the horizon from above. Alternatively, you can gaze through the telescopes at one of the many lookout points that are situated at various sides of the ridge for a panoramic view of the southern part of Singapore and the southern islands. Delve into our nation’s natural heritage at Faber Point, the highest point in the park, where a mural wall depicts scenes of local historical events, and where the tree that was planted during the first Tree Planting Day stands.
Mount Faber is covered by a secondary rain forest. The vegetation on the slope helps to stabilise the terrain besides beautifying the park.
The park is part of the Southern Ridges, which also comprises Telok Blangah Hill Park, HortPark, Kent Ridge Park and Labrador Nature Reserve.
Here in Singapore - Driving up to Mount Faber
Mount Faber is a hill around 105metres located near Bukit Merah overlooking Telok Blangah here in singapore. The summit is reachable by road. (In this video). Actually there are multiple footpaths up the hill.
It's a popular tourist attraction area where tourists can see various parts of singapore from the peak. It's also connected via Cable Car to Harbourfront and Sentosa Island.

Trekking up Singapore's Mount Faber
One of the few mountains, or rather hills, in the heart of busy Singapore! The short trek up this nature reserve was peaceful, and is actually one of the 2 stations of the cable car here!
