Hiking Mount Fromme in North Vancouver
Mount Fromme sits just east of Grouse Mountain and is home to a large number of mountain biking and hiking trails. At an elevation of 1,185 m, the view from the summit of Mount Fromme is rewarding, but is by no means the best around. Mount Fromme offers views of Lynn Ridge, Coliseum Mountain, Mount Burwell, and Mount Seymour.

Hot off the first fiver the gang decided to do a cool down lap of Bobsled. I know this trail is overshot, but the conditions have never been better, I have a sweet new bell, and Thadeus' shirt was too good to pass up. Nice!

Ladies Only to Big Stupid | Mount Fromme, North Vancouver, BC | MTB
Probably one of my favourite trails on the shore, Ladies Only is an awesome mix of both techy and flowy woodwork. A true classic really. Uncut following Braden through Ladies (including the famous root step which really makes this a proper double black), then following Owen and Braden through Big Stupid. Makes for a fantastic first lap!

Crinkum Crankum / Kirkford, Mount Fromme (North Vancouver)
Crinkum Crankum into Kirkford, a classic route down Fromme starting from the 3rd switchback. This route can also be a continuation of Leopard from 7th Secret. Both trails are rated Black Diamond due to their steep, tight technical switchbacks, and many steep wood features. With that said, most of the features have ride arounds if you aren't too comfy on the wood!

Probably my favourite clip of the year so far. Who the heck throws massive suicide no handers in the middle of an enduro stage? Andrew, that's who!
(There was supposed to be a full length video of this race, but unfortunately a rider got quite injured on stage 1 and they cancelled the stage as a result. This put a lot of us out of a racing mood and more focused on having fun, which is the point of the fivers anyways!)

I've had this video in mind since I moved out here two years ago, so I'm super stoked to finally be able to post it. Following the king of fast woodwork, Dave and I rode all optional features without a dab, and first try! Shoutout to Martin for being an awesome guy that we met at the top of the first run down. We probably cleaned the skinny section 15 of 15 times on the second lap, then I proceeded to fall off of a wide bridge on Ladies Only afterwards haha. Enjoy, I'm proud of this one!

Ladies Only, A north shore classic filled with epic woodwork, weird janky maneuvers, and a tiny bit of flow! The other day I took my buddy Mike down it for his first time, and he loved it!
I always love coming back to this trail to test myself. The results on the day were that I've been riding park too much, and I need to get back to the shore..
Our full lap was ladies only, to big stupid then Lower ladies (Video to come)

Hiked up Mount Fromme, North Vancouver BC
Mount Fromme located up at North Vancouver BC. Parked my car at the St George's street and starting hiking in. The hike is 10 km round-trip up & down. If including the other mountain bike trails can be more distance. 880 meters elevation gain (1185 meters from sea level). Average time 3 to 5 hours. Rated as intermediate/moderate. Nice views of Crown, Goat, Grouse, Needles mountains.

I like and would generally consider myself to be pretty good at slow speed tech which involves trialsy-moves and accurate wheel placement. However I would also say my balance on two wheels is pretty bad, so I set out a challenge for myself to clean Imonator, returning top the top of the trail for every dab I make. This video shows my progression towards that goal. Something a little different so enjoy!!

Bobsled & Griffen || Mt Fromme, North Vancouver [Ep#60]
In Vancouver you can almost constantly see the hills of the North Shore, reminding you of what great trails live in their loamy forest.
I couldn't travel halfway around the planet and not sample them, so I rented a Trance Advanced 1 from Essential Cycles and headed into the autumn mist.
In this episode I hit the legendary Bobsled trail (just awesome!) and follow it up with a journey down Upper & Lower Griffen.
