DEB TALKS : Where to Play - Climbing Mt. Kobau Summit overlooking Okanagan Valley, BC
A must do for anyone visiting the Okanagan Valley region of Osoyoos, British Columbia, Canada. We took Chopaka Trail up Mt. Kobau to reach the top. The trail was easy to moderate but tricky to navigate while covered in snow! We’ll definitely be coming back here to view this beautiful trail in warmer seasons!

Dec 31st 2016 - Went adventuring in Osoyoos, even with 4x4 Papi couldn't keep the Explorer out of the snow bank. Jake dug us out.

The south Okanagan is a very unique place to mountain bike, especially above the valley on Mt. Kobau. Pine trees meet sagebrush and dry grassland carpets rolling hills with a backdrop of distant mountains. Mt. Kobau is near Osoyoos and reached by a gravel road winding its way to the top and a couple lookouts. Follow as Nina the trail dog and Luke bike these trails.

I recount my Best Day Trip Ever (so far) in August 2016 as I ride a new loop from Osoyoos to Oliver via Fairview, Madden Lake, Ripely Lake, Fairview/Cawston to the Kobau connector and back to Osoyoos.

This is a long video of my mom, aunt, and myself, driving up a mountain in Osoyoos, British Columbia.

BEAUTIFUL HIDDEN WATERFALL: BC's Okanagan Valley
There's something magical about this waterfall tucked away in the BX area of the North Okanagan in beautiful British Columbia. If you haven't been already, you MUST check out the BX Creek Falls Trail.
We went on a Wednesday in the middle of October. The trail, well-known to locals, was peaceful.

Testalinden Creek Fire (Oliver, BC) - 2015
The Testalinden Creek forest and grass fire resulted from a violent afternoon thunderstorm on August 14th and burned for 6 weeks. Testalinden Creek is located about 10 kms south of Oliver BC, on the lower slopes of Mount Kobau on the west side of the Okanagan Valley in the heart of BC's popular wine country.
