Day 3 of our roadtrip was a success. Went cliff jumping into the freezing lake superior, then hiked mt mckay later in the day. Both had great views and we had even better company!

Thunder Bay trip: #1 Mt McKay hike
This is a video of our journey to the Mount McKay of Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada. Mt McKay is a sacred site and an Indigenous heritage of Fort William First Nation. Mt McKay reminded us our beautiful and sacred mountains of Nepal. This is a must visit site if you are planning to visit Thunder Bay.

Headed into Thunder Bay we make a pit stop at Kakabeka Falls, very impressive! We then hike up Mount McKay for a view of Lake Superior and the Sleeping Giant. The following day we tour Fort William Historical Park.

Alright, here's the thing with Sleeping Giant Provincial Park - from a distance, it looks uniquely beautiful. Hiking it is an experience that will leave both exhausted and awe-inspired.
From a distance, the park looks like a man lying down on his back.
Located east of Thunder Bay, Canada, the park itself features over 100 km of hiking trails, over 200 bird species, wildlife viewing and loads of boreal forest. Not to mention spectacular views of Lake Superior and the surrounding area.

Thunder Bay looking at mount McKay
driving west on 11/17 Canada's only road, but people follow it too far and they go south, to the american boarder. this is a problem for people with contraban. so if you want to go west when you hit Thunder Bay there are three ways how. but if you pass arthur street and keep going towards the mountain, it means you're going to America.
