Mount Morgan Open Cut Mine - 1965 - SOUND
24 miles from Rockhampton in Central Queensland... the town of Mount Morgan, its population of nearly five thousand principally concerned with the operations of the Mount Morgan Mine. This is the largest hard rock open-cut mine in the Southern Hemisphere, the largest gold producer in Queensland, the second only to Mount Isa in copper output. Mount Morgan Masonic Temple is a heritage-listed masonic temple at 2 Gordon Street, Mount Morgan, Rockhampton Region, Queensland, Australia. It was designed by Eaton & Bates and built in 1903 by Newman Brothers. It was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 21 October 1992.

Country Music Legend Sara Storer joined us in 2017 as our legend for CQUniversity's Legend & the Locals as we toured to 12 towns around regional Queensland and collaborated with 445 locals.
In Mount Morgan she performed with the Mount Morgan Community Choir and many locals, with Will Hearn as support act.
