MOUNT SEYMOUR Hike in North Vancouver!
Mount Seymour trail offers three different peaks of stunning views. These peaks are known as Pump Peak, Tim Jones Peak, and Mount Seymour Peak. While Pump Peak and Tim Jones Peak can be destinations of their own, it is most common to hike to the third and final peak, the summit of Mount Seymour itself.
From the summit of Mt. Seymour there are views of Vancouver, the Lower Mainland, the Indian Arm and of what appears to be a never-ending stretch of coastal mountains. On a clear day you can even see Vancouver Island.

Mount Seymour - Driving Up that Mountain in North Vancouver BC Canada
We are driving up Mount Seymour in North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. As you can see in this video, there's basically a road, trees and the odd car or cyclist. Therefore, we've tried to make the music as dramatic as possible.

Seymour’s Three Peaks - Mount Seymour Provincial Park
Located less than an hour from Downtown Vancouver, Mount Seymour is one of the most popular destinations for hikers in the Lower Mainland. It offers easy access to alpine hiking terrain and many vistas of Vancouver and surrounding mountains.
It is also home to an amazing array of wildlife, such as the Barred Owl, Spruce Grouse, Raven, the friendly Whiskey Jacks, the Golden Eagle, and larger animals such as Blacktail Deer, Bobcat, Cougar and the Black Bear.
With such close proximity to the city, it is easy to disregard how quickly the weather on Mount Seymour can change. When the fog rolls in, it is easy to get lost in whiteout conditions, and the steep cliffs can be a potential hazard for those unfamiliar with the mountain.
Distance: ~4.5km one way, 5-hours return
Difficulty: Moderate
First Peak: 3.5km
Second Peak: 4km
Third Peak: 4.5km
History Tidbit: Mount Seymour is named after Frederick Seymour, the Governor of British Columbia from 1864-1869.

CBC | Mount Seymour, North Vancouver, BC | MTB
Somehow my friends remembered that I had never ridden CBC before, so they had to take me down it before the wet season. It's actually pretty fun! Definitely remember hearing about it growing up so it's cool to see it in person (even if it is a shell of what it once was). I'd happily ride it again!
