Mount St Bernard Abbey is a Cistercian monastery of the Strict Observance (Trappist) near Coalville, Leicestershire, England, founded in 1835 in the parish of Whitwick, and now in that of Charley. The abbey was the first permanent monastery to be founded in England since the Reformation and is the only Cistercian house in England. The monks brew the only Trappist beer in Britain.

St Bernards Abbey, Leicestershire, U.K - Dji Phantom Vision Plus
Mount Saint Bernard Abbey is situated in Charnwood Forest, Leicestershire. An area of particular natural beauty in the very heart of England:3 miles from Coalville, 6 miles from Loughborough, and 12 miles from Leicester.
We are a community of Cistercian monks following the Rule of St Benedict according to the traditions of the Cistercian Order.
Our life is a community one, lived in a spirit of simplicity, silence, and solitude. The day is made up of a careful balance of prayer and work.
The Cistercian Order is a monastic institute, wholly ordered to contemplation. The monks dedicate themselves to the worship of God in a hidden life within the monastery under the Rule of St Benedict. They lead a monastic way of life in solitude and silence, and in assiduous prayer and joyful penitence as defined in these Constitutions, thus rendering to the divine majesty a service that is at once humble and noble.

MOUNT ST BERNARD ABBEY: AN INTERVIEW WITH FR JOSEPH
Some Year Six pupils from Holy Trinity Catholic Academy in Newark were lucky enough to visit the incredible Mount St Bernard Abbey in rural Leicestershire and speak to the wonderful Fr Joseph, a monk who lives there.
The children asked him many questions about his life as a monk and the Abbey but also investigated the theme of Commitment and Vocations with him too. It was a brilliant opportunity for us all to learn more about this subject.
Many thanks to Fr Joseph and the Abbey for their warm welcome and very generous responses.

๛Leicestershire monks brew Britain’s first Trappist beer
For most of the past 183 years, the Trappist monks of the Mount St Bernard monastery in rural Leicestershire were dairy farmers, selling their milk to fund a quiet, rhythmic existence of prayer and contemplation. Tynt Meadow | Mt. St. Bernard Abbey | John Drinks Beer Review
Tynt Meadow is the UK's first home-grown trappists ale, made by the monks at Mount St. Bernards Abbey. Trappist ale is a rare breed, with very few being made in the world. Tynt Meadow is a beer that has been doing the rounds in craft circles and has been hugely enjoyed.

Say Nope to the Pope
This is a protest about the horrific abuses the catholic church has committed in Ireland and elsewhere. Popes Francis visit to Ireland cost 32 million euro. Yet he refuses the most simplest of things like to even meet the abused of the catholic church. That does not cost 32 million. This video contains terrible, terrible stories from brave people and what they suffered at the hands of the catholic church. Their bravery should be an example to us all.
