MT Sugarloaf Colliery - Newcastle NSW - 1950-60s
This is an old video i've found, taken from VHS tape which has been copied many times. It shows the old MT Sugarloaf Colliery that was based on the side of mt sugarloaf down towards west wallsend. It also shows some footage of coal trucks driving through newcastle taking coal to the power station in town.
Im not sure who actually made this film but its a very interesting piece of Newcastle's history.

We had a bit of fun exploring some new tracks up Mt Sugarloaf in the Heaton State Forest. Both Keith and Greg had recently purchased Nissan Patrols, so they wanted to find out what they could do.

Spent the day shuttling Mt Sugarloaf with a great bunch of friends!
I've had the FeiyuTech WG2 gimbal for a number of weeks now so here's some thoughts on it..
- drifting, since I've updated then reflashed the firmware it has been very solid, no horizon drift to speak of.
- when mounted with my hero 5 black the roll axis does not balance out even after adjusting the sliding arm.
- the collar which locks the sliding arm continually works its way loose.
- the roll motor bearings feel pretty average, can hear them when you turn by hand.
- even with the audio on 'wind only' the raw audio isn't great, almost unusable.
However I will say that I love the image stability it's producing! It is very smooth in its action, I am very happy in this regard!
