Portland, Oregon - Mt. Tabor Park
Mt. Tabor park is a large park in the city of Portland, Oregon. It is a great place to get outside and enjoy the beauty and nature. Like most city parks there is a playground, dog park, basketball court, and other great amenities to go along with the hiking and walking trails.
The park covers 196 acres on an old volcanic vent. Mt. Tabor sits about 400 ft above the land surrounding it. This provides amazing views towards Mt. Hood and downtown Portland. The Park is located around a group of historical reservoirs.

Mt. Tabor Park steps
Taken near the lower part of the 284 (as I counted them) steps leading to the top of the park. Taken with my Canon G10 in standard definition VGA. Look how big the trees are!!! I uploaded this to Facebook and it came out blurry - hoping this will be better! More video of this beautiful park as soon as I can post it.

Portland Ep 2 Mt Tabor Park Session
Mt Tabor session, fun in the sun. There was more to this day, I didn't get a lot of footy because I was riding most the day. Also some one kicked the camera and I missed some shots. So this is what Alex and I shot, from the day. Good times with good people.
Portland to Bend, the wild way
What’s a better way to celebrate recovery than a trip through the woods on roads you’ve never seen? That’s actually a bit of a trick question, because I cannot imagine another way to do it. Plus, it gave me an actual goal to work towards.
Let’s ride from Portland-ish to Bend on gravel and Forest Service roads. There, I said it. Who’s in?
Thanks to Ritchey, Schwalbe and The Athletic.

The Hawthorne District in Portland, Oregon, is an area of Southeast Portland on SE Hawthorne Blvd. that runs from 12th to 60th Avenues[1], with the primary core of businesses between 30th and 50th Avenues. The area has numerous retail stores, including clothing shops, restaurants, bars, brewpubs and microbreweries.[2]
The Hawthorne Boulevard Business Association serves local businesses on the boulevard from SE 12th Ave. through SE 60th Ave.[5] While many Business Districts are intrinsically involved with their Neighborhood Association, this stretch of SE Hawthorne Blvd. is tangent to or a boundary of four neighborhoods Buckman, Hosford-Abernethy, Sunnyside, Richmond, and passes into a fifth, Mount Tabor. Places to see in ( Portland - USA )
Places to see in ( Portland - USA )
Portland, Oregon’s largest city, sits on the Columbia and Willamette rivers, in the shadow of snow-capped Mount Hood. It’s known for its parks, bridges and bicycle paths, as well as for its eco-friendliness and its microbreweries and coffeehouses. Iconic Washington Park encompasses sites from the formal Japanese Garden to Oregon Zoo and its railway. The city hosts thriving art, theater and music scenes.
Downtown Portland is the heart of the city. To the immediate south of Downtown is the campus of Portland State University and South Waterfront, an urban revitalization area at the southern end of the streetcar line with newly built glass residential towers. Just to the north of Downtown is Old Town, which is where Portland was first settled and which has some historic buildings and is a nightlife center, but also contains a fair amount of social services for homeless and mentally ill. The neighborhood also holds the remnants of Chinatown.
Just to the northwest of Downtown is the Pearl District, a very hip and trendy neighborhood on the streetcar line which was not long ago derelict warehouses and empty industrial space. To the north of the Pearl, at the northern end of the streetcar line is the Northwest District, also known as Nob Hill and also on the trendy side and with a variety of retail shops, bars, and restaurants along with plenty of lovely Victorians and tree-lined streets. West of this is the West Hills, where the well-to-do of Portland have traditionally lived.
Hawthorne Blvd, which runs east-west across the river from Downtown. SE Division, parallel to and a mile south of Hawthorne Blvd. Located along Sandy Blvd northeast of downtown, Hollywood is a commercial district for the nearby neighborhoods and home to the Hollywood Theater. To the north of downtown between MLK Blvd and 30th Avenue, Alberta Street has much the same feel as Hawthorne Blvd; a counter-culture/bohemian community that's becoming popular with yuppies.
