Mount Talinis, also known as the Cuernos de Negros is a complex volcano in the Philippines. At about 1,903 metres (6,243 ft) above sea level, it is the second highest mountain on Negros Island.

Okay. Ang totoo nyan hindi namin naabot ang summit dahil nakulangan na kami sa oras. We started around 7am, we should’ve started pala at 3am para di kami abutin ng gabi. May bagyo pa nung time na yan kaya sobrang lamig din while hiking.

But anyway, tiring pero enjoy pa din. ????

Mount Talinis Hike [Negros] - Philippines

This video shows a hike that I went on up Mount Talinis, which is hands down the hardest hike which was more of a climb that I have ever been on. Full of slippery slopes, of mud and rocks and having to use tree roots or anything we could to climb up the crazy unmarked track to the top of the volcano.

After 8 hours of walking, we were hit by a big storm that soaked us to the bone, after a very sketchy climb down we made it back to the hostel shaking and shivering, I hopped in the shower and I found 4 ticks imbedded in my ankles along with a spider bite that put me in hospital in Vietnam a few days after this.

Team Piyangaw Mountaineers conquered Mount Talinis. (10/26-28/18)

Also known as Cuernos de Negros (Horns of Negros), is a volcano in the Philippine province of Negros Oriental. At about 1,903 metres (6,243 ft) above sea level, it is the second highest mountain on Negros Island after Mount Kanlaon. The volcano is located 9 km (5.6 mi) southwest of the municipality of Valencia; and 20 km (12 mi) from Dumaguete City, the capital of the province.

Mt. Talinis/Bediao-Apolong Traverse to Apolong,Valencia with Team Katkat and Bosconian Society

This is my 2nd major climb. It's our first preclimb for our upcoming climb to Mt Halcon. It's also my 1st Talinis Climb. Twas awesome . So far it's my favorite trail. It's a little bit acrobatic. Super challenging.
