Japanese Sweet Soy Sauce Glaze (Mitarashi) | みたらしのたれの作り方 Japanese Vegan Recipe
This is only the Mitarashi sauce preparation part of my Imomochi recipe:
Mitarashi sauce is usually cooked for Mitarashi Tango and it goes well with other Japanese sweets as well, including Imomochi.
It is known today that Mitarashi Dango originates from Shimogamo Shrine from Kyoto in 12 Century. , which has the Mitarashi Lake. This sauce was invented by getting the idea from the bubble of Mitarashi Lake. It became produced massively by companies after WW2 and Mitarashi got very popular across Japan.
I have never seen Mitarashi outside of Japan and I hope that my recipe will help you to cook by yourself:)
