Trout Lake Blowing Rock NC search for missing student

The Boone NC Police Department enlisted the aid of cadaver dogs Wednesday, June 1, in its continued search for missing Caldwell Community College student James Martin Roberts.
Police searched the Boone town reservoir, Trout Lake and the surrounding areas with help from dogs from the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation and Western Carolina University.
North Catawba Fire and Rescue provided the investigation a boat equipped with side-array sonar to search the floors of the two bodies of water.
Boone Chief of Police Dana Crawford said that in searching the two locations, they hoped to rule them out as possibilities. Police said previously they received an unconfirmed report of a sighting of Roberts in the Trout Lake area approximately two hours after his last confirmed sighting.

Happy Heart Holly - Gem Mining in North Carolina

This was our first full day visiting my grandparents in North Carolina. We went to a gem mine and to search for precious stones and we found rubies, garnets, sapphires, amethyst, quartz, and moonstone. It was so much fun!
