VISITING SCOTLAND: Loch Morlich, cairngorm mountain range, Aviemore, Holy island
This is a short video showing a few things that we did when we went to Scotland. We visited Loch Morlich which is near the Cairngorm mountains and also went across to the holy island.
Filmed using the DJI phantom 3 standard drone and the Canon 750d. In theses clips the video quality doesn't look the best as it was quite dark when filming.

A Cairngorm Adventure | Part One | 1080p HD Documentary
This is my journey into Britain’s largest unspoilt wilderness, the Cairngorms National Park.. The Cairngorms are the most extensive range of high mountains in the UK, with a vast, tundra-like wilderness plateau, girt with magnificent corries, at the heart of the region. This is encircled by the beautiful valleys of the Rivers Spey and Dee, each passing through stunning landscapes of ancient Caledonian pinewoods teeming with wildlife. The National Park is dotted with jewel-like lochs such as Loch Morlich – with its sandy beach – and Loch an Eilein with its ruined island castle. There's nowhere else quite like the Cairngorms National Park.

Mountain Bikers Vs. Snowdrifts In The Scottish Highlands | Trippin' Winter, Ep. 1
BUY EPIC GEAR, TESTED BY THE BEST: GoPro, Sony, DJI, ION, Magicam, Optrix, Hitcase and more
Once there is snow on the ground most people pack their mountain bikes away for a few weeks. Most people. Embracing the British winter Sam Flanagan, Joe Flanagan, Ali Parkin, and Toby Pantling set off into the Scottish Highlands to look for snow-covered trails in the stunning Cairngorm National Park. Arriving just after a huge storm that left most of the country covered in a blanket of snow the boys remained undeterred and wasted no time getting down to business, making the most out of the conditions they had. In the end, at least it wasn’t raining!

On April 24th 2017 we chose to enjoy the British Spring by venturing to the Cairngorms for a couple of nights. On the 25th we walked the Meall a' Bhuachaille Circuit ... in the worst conditions ever!
The whole video is shot on iPhone 6s Plus and edited in the iMovie app on the phone. The entire process took about 45 minutes!

Onboard the SPRS The Galloway Explorer charter train operated by top and tail class 37 locomotives. This video includes parts of the journey between Newcastle & Stranraer.
Leaving Newcastle at 5:25 we headed firstly towards Berwick-upon-Tweet where the set then heads along the coast towards Edinburgh. Where then is passes the mountains and headed further along the ECML to Edinburgh . After some people had boarded at Edinburgh we head along the North Clyde Line to Glasgow before we then the freight only line crossing over Glasgow Central before joining the Ayrshire Coast Line at Shields JCT, we then head to Ayr to where then the Stranraer line carrys on we then head down the south west scottish coast before we arrived into Stranraer we waited for a Scotrail service to pass us, onces at Stranraer the winds were very high. After a short break in Stranraer we started our long journey back to Newcastle we head along the Stranraer line back to Ayr to where then we head toward for Kilmarnock along the Ayr to Kilmarnock route before we then join the Dumfries to Carlisle line, know as the south bordors lines the view were amazing. The mountains coming down from Scotland were great before long we pass thought Dumfries and we join the WCML at Gretna Junction we then pass by Kingmoor DRS Depot before arriving into Carlisle. After about 15 minutes we then head onto the Tyre Valley for the last leg to Newcastle via Hexham the route in Autumn was lovely with the leafs from the trees are yellow & orange before long we pass thought Mertocentre before joining the ECML just south Newcastle as we were arriving into Newcastle a LNER HST set had raced us into the station. Then the tour carried onto Edinburgh & then onto the Bo'ness Railway.
I did manage to get a window right behind the locomotive for the second departure from Stranraer, which was great under the power of diesel!
*For those of you who don't know the class 37 locomotive is quite unique in that it can run under its own diesel power.
This video includes bits of both. You can see some great arching from 37516 & 37518 on the way out of Ayr as well as the diesel power thrash out of Stranraer! :)
Over all a great day out, lots of new routes I've never covered and my first time under the haulage of a class 37!
Thanks for Watching

A Mountain of Moods- Maol Chean Dearg
I headed up The Munro of Maol Chean Dearg (3,061 ft) from Coulags on a grey moody overcast day. On the way I visited Coire Fionnariach bothy and the Clach nan Con-fionn stone, where legend has it the giant Ffion used to tether his hunting dogs. A fantastic walk through a wild and wonderful landscape just South of Torridon in North West Scotland.
