Dear Friend in the European Parliament,
My mother Dagmara Natkaniec worked for a Berlin based K.u.K. Group, which has an employment agency operating in Poland.
Although this firm and its owners have been investigated by judicial
authorities in Berlin and Wroclaw and cleared of any wrongdoing, it seems that some people in Poland do not like the firm's owner and founder, Mr Marek Kmetko.
I don't know much about this. I only know that last November the Wroclaw police carried out raids on the offices in Poland. My mother was visiting her parents and was swept up by the police raid.
Since then I have not had a mother at home in Berlin. This isn't fair is it? I want her to be with me.
She was held for a long time in prison and was told that if she tried to contact the employer she would get into even worse trouble. She was told that if I spoke to anyone about the terrible circumstances of her detention and the denial of my right to live with my mother in our home, it would make matters worse.
But now after 8 months of keeping silent I hope that you as the new MEPs speaking for the right of all Polish and European citizens will support me. I know that there is a disagreement between Mr Kmetko over claims that he did not pay correct social insurance payments. I know from my Mum he has written to the Polish government authorities to say he is willing to pay this money.
Why does the Wroclaw Prosecutor, Piotr Kalecinski, behave as if he was living in communist Poland where citizens had no rights? When the company's lawyer from Berlin and a journalist from Brussels came to see her they were denied access. Is this right? Is this why Poland joined the European Union?
All I want is to be reunited with my mother. Can you help me achieve this human right. Please contact the Polish Justice Ministry or Wroclaw Prosecutor Kalecinski and ask that I can, again, be with my mother at our home in Berlin and I can go to school as a normal child.
