The Ultimate Adventure in Australia's Blue Mountains | LOCALS. | Travel + Leisure
AUSTRALIA WILDFIRE UPDATE:
As part of Travel and Leisure's coverage for 2020 Destination of the Year, we traveled to Australia in September of 2019. The Blue Mountains world heritage site featured in this video was filmed mere weeks before the devastating wildfires engulfed the country. 80% of the Blue Mountains region was affected by these fires.

Travel + Leisure's 2020 Destination of Year: Australia
So named because of the azure haze that often settles above them, the Blue Mountains—which, in actuality, are not so much a series of peaks as they are a grouping of ridges, plateaus, and gorges—are a quick getaway from the city and a fantastic place to spend a weekend.
Tag along with Dan Lewis of The Blue Mountain Adventure Company as he shows you all the natural beauty of this magical place.

My trip through the Australian Blue Mountains with Eagle Rock Adventures. This particular tour consisted of abseiling, hiking, canyoning and rock jumping. It was such an incredible experience that I would highly suggest to any adventure seeker! The Blue Mountains is a mountainous region in New South Wales, it borders on Sydney's metropolitan area. These videos were take on my GoPro Hero 4 Silver in February 2015.

Sydney Blue Mountains Travel GUIDE | Wentworth Falls & Echo Point - The Three Sisters | TRAVEL Video
Sydneys Blue Mountains National Park is absolutely stunning, and one of my favourite places I have been to. We check out many places whilst we were there, starting the day off we went to McMahon's Point. Then we went to Wentworth Falls which has one of the best views I have ever seen. Then for sunset we went to Echo Point which is where the Three Sisters are also which had stunning views and a great sunset!

Climbing with Dave Burgess on Sweet Dreams, Blue Mountains National Park
What do Paddy Pallin staff do when they get time away from the shop? Put all the gear to work! Check out David Burgess, Paddy Pallin Sydney staff member, on a gorgeous day up in the Blue Mountains climbing Sweet Dreams. A must do, multi-pitch climb for a cruisy afternoon that will not disappoint!
Sweet Dreams is a 6 pitch climb in the Blue Mountains. Graded 14 with 3 alternate finishes from 14 to 17, it is a great day out in a spectacular location.
The climb is protected with bolt but in the great Australian tradition, bolt brackets are required to attach quickdraws to bolts (10 should be enough) All belays are double ring bolts. A set of nuts and cams are needed to protect pitch 2 and the 15 alternate finish.
A must do for visiting climbers in Sydney. Allow 4 hrs including walk in and out and enjoy the views.
Thanks Dave for sharing!

2014, January 23th - 24th Sydney and Blue Mountains

Experience Canyoning in the Blue Mountains
Imagine propelling yourself off rock faces and into the unknown. A day immersed in the expansive, awe-inspiring beauty that is the Blue Mountains. Walking down the face of a mountain suspended dozens of meters above ground level. A day filled with adrenaline, your cheeks hurting from smiling so much.
We were put on this earth to experience it all.
