I hike the Mount Oberon Summit Walk in Wilsons Promontory National Park, Victoria. It is a 3.4km 1 hour bushwalk to the summit. It offers 360 degree views of the surrounding national park. The southernmost point of mainland Australia can be seen in the distance.

Mount Oberon Summit Walk, Wilsons Promontory National Park | Wilsons Prom Vlog
The second part of our first trip of 2019.
This is something a little bit different from what we normally do. In our end of the 2018 year review video, we made we said we would be doing more frequent, smaller trips this year. This is one of them.
We have been wanting to visit Wilsons Promontory National Park for a few years now and we finally did it. We didn't just visit Wilsons Prom, we went camping in Wilsons Prom National Park.
Camping in Wilsons Prom was amazing, in fact, it was our first camping experience together in our 5-year relationship.
One of the main reasons why we went to this beautiful national park was to walk to the top of Mount Oberon. We would highly recommend the Mt Oberon summit walk because the view from Mt Obern is stunning, it was a great way to see all of Wilsons Prom.
Let us know what you think of this first time camping travel vlog, we would love to do more of these in the future. Tell us how we can improve on them next time, other than being more prepared.

We drove a few hours South East from Melbourne with our friends Robert and Ting, to Wilsoms Promontory National Park. We got lucky with our timing to visit Cotters Beach at Sunset and then Mount Oberon the following morning whilst it was still misty from the rain.
Along the route we finally saw some of Australia's most famous wildlife and beautiful scenery around Victoria!

Hello Melbourne Victoria - Wilsons Promontory Pt 2 of 2 (Mount Oberon Summit & Squeky Beach)
Welcome to the Hello Melbourne Victoria series where we will be looking at capturing different places we venture to around Melbourne & Victoria.
This video is Part 2 of 2 from our trip to Wilsons Promontory in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. If you haven't seen Part 1, you can do so here -
Wilsons Promontory National Park is a 3.5 - 4hr drive South East of Melbourne CBD. There are many hiking/camping options to choose.
The main centre for Wilsons Promontory is Tidal River. This is where the Visitors Centre is along with shops and basic amenities. The great thing about Wilsons Promontory is the different ways you can spend your time here. From doing one day hikes, staying overnight to multiple nights at various campsites or cabins.
If you are camping overnight. You will need to book your camp site in advance for a small fee. You can find more info about that here -
On this occasion after completing our overnight hike back from Sealers Cove to Telegraph Saddle. We decided to fit in some more hiking and exploring before we left to head back into Melbourne.
We first checked out Mount Oberon Summit 1hr/3.4km from Telegraph Saddle Car Park. The hike up is quite steep, but once you reach the top it is well worth the effort. There's no barriers once you hit the summit and care must be taken as it can be quite windy up here. Definitely worth visiting if you are in the area for a day trip. The views are breath taking and photos and videos can not capture a moment which needs to be experience in the present moment, so do yourself a favor and make sure this destination is on your agenda of to do list when you visit. There are no facilities up here so be sure to do your business back down at Telegraph Saddle Car Park before coming up or vice versa.
After we finished up at Mount Oberon Summit, we decided to check out Squeaky Beach before we ran out of daylight. It is a quick 5-10min drive down the road from Telegraph Saddle Car Park. Minimal amount of hiking required as the beach is next to Squeaky Beach Car Park. A very nice and relaxing view of blue water waves breaking onto white sands. And yes the sand does squeak when you walk on it.
If you're looking for a day trip with some amazing views. Here's one we'd definitely recommend.
Hope you enjoyed the video and the read. Like, Comment & Subscribe for future videos.
If you have any questions. Leave them in the comments and I'll try and reply to them when I can.
Until the next adventure :)
