AIRLIE BEACH, WHITSUNDAYS AUSTRALIA: Honeyeater Lookout 4K
Looking for things to do in Airlie Beach? Why not check out the best views in Airlie! It's one of the best hikes in Whitsundays Australia.
WHERE:
Honeyeater is a 8.2km return track. You can easily walk from downtown Airlie Beach as the shortest route is 700m to the trailhead. Once you leave the main town area it's mostly an uphill walk. If driving, you can park on the road near the trailhead.
HOW:
The track starts at the top of Kara Crescent in the Airlie Beach suburbs. Turn left from the top of Kara Cres to the Conway Circuit sign and staircase. Once on the trail, follow the Conway circuit for 2.3 km to the Honeyeater lookout turn-off. Follow the trail to the Honeyeater Lookout with views over Cannonvale and the Whitsunday Islands. Return via the same route.
TIPS AND OTHER DETAILS:
Keep your eyes peeled for Australian Lace Monitors (goannas). They are super common on the trail. We’ve hiked to Honeyeater Lookout a dozen times and have seen at least one on every hike.
Honeyeater Lookout is part of the 27 km Conway Circuit in Conway National Park. The recommended time to complete the entire Conway Circuit is 3 days/2 nights hiking or 4 hours for fit and experienced mountain bikers. Although the name is Conway ‘Circuit’ it’s not an actual looped circuit so check out the maps on the Queensland Government site.

Australia Vlog #12 - Kingaroy and Bundaberg
Thanks for watching, enjoy! Scroll down for more...
30th March - 7th April
After leaving Fraser Island we experienced some of the wind and rain from ex-cyclone Debbie, including a flooded campsite. However, it was nothing compared to the devastation caused elsewhere! We then drove to Kingaroy and went to the Peanut Van, Coomba Falls and the Bunya Mountains. Sadly, 3 days of cloud meant we couldn't go the observatory. On to Bundaberg, where we visited the Rum Distillery and the Ginger Beer Factory. Of course, it would be rude to leave empty handed. We spent a few days at Agnes Water and 1770 to get the last spot of surfing and then did a lot of driving. We drove through Rockhampton during the peak of the flooding towards Mackay.
