Nunobiki Falls, Futatabi Park and the Foreigners' Cemetery In Kobe, Japan. Kobe PRA's life
Hi everyone! This year I was assigned as one of the Kobe PR Ambassadors and here on my Channel I will share some videos from our PRA events and my daily life in Japan.
On May 28 we had our first trip as Kobe PR Ambassadors 2017-2018 to Nunobiki Falls, Futatabi Park and Kobe Municipal Foreigners' Cemetery and here is my video about it.
28 мая состоялась наша первая официальная поездка как Kobe PR Ambassadors. Мы забрались к водопаду Нунобики, сходили в Футатаби парк и посетили Муниципальное кладбище для иностранцев Кобе.

Mount Rokko (六甲山), Kobe, Japan
Mount Rokko (六甲山, Rokkōsan, 931 meters) is the highest peak in the Rokko mountain range, which provides the pleasant green backdrop to the city of Kobe. Panoramic views of the heavily urbanized Hanshin region (Kobe and Osaka) can be enjoyed from the mountain and are particularly spectacular around sunset.
Kobe PR Ambassadors Hiking Tour: Kobe, Japan
The Kobe PR Ambassadors went for a hike starting from Shin Kobe station, passing Nunobiki Falls, Miharashi Observatory, Gohonmatsu Dam and on to Futatabi Park, where they had a guided tour of the Kobe Foreigners'
Cemetery. They learned about the impact that non-Japanese people have had on the history of Kobe since the Port of Kobe was opened in 1868.

Kobe, Japan - Port of Kobe Earthquake Memorial Park HD (2017)
Kobe (神戸市 Kōbe-shi, Japanese: [koːꜜbe]) is the sixth-largest city in Japan and is the capital city of Hyōgo Prefecture. It is located on the southern side of the main island of Honshū, on the north shore of Osaka Bay and about 30 km (19 mi) west of Osaka. With a population around 1.5 million, the city is part of the Keihanshin metropolitan area along with Osaka and Kyoto.
The earliest written records regarding the region come from the Nihon Shoki, which describes the founding of the Ikuta Shrine by Empress Jingū in AD 201. For most of its history, the area was never a single political entity, even during the Tokugawa period, when the port was controlled directly by the Tokugawa shogunate. Kobe did not exist in its current form until its founding in 1889. Its name comes from kanbe (神戸), an archaic title for supporters of the city's Ikuta Shrine. Kobe became one of Japan's 17 designated cities in 1956.
Kobe was one of the cities to open for trade with the West following the 1853 end of the policy of seclusion and has since been known as a cosmopolitan port city. While the 1995 Great Hanshin earthquake diminished much of Kobe's prominence as a port city, it remains Japan's fourth busiest container port. Companies headquartered in Kobe include ASICS, Kawasaki Heavy Industries, and Kobe Steel, as well as over 100 international corporations with Asian or Japanese headquarters in the city such as Eli Lilly and Company, Procter & Gamble, Boehringer Ingelheim, and Nestlé. The city is the point of origin and namesake of Kobe beef, as well as the site of one of Japan's most famous hot spring resorts, Arima Onsen.

Hiking Mount Maya, near Kobe Japan (Kansai's best 100 mountains, #21)

ROUTE DIRECTIONS:
Disclaimer: The directions only represent my personal experience. I accept no responsibility for any losses or injuries resulting from following these directions. Hike safe!
Get off at Oji-koen station, walk west along the wall of the park, past the zoo entrance, and turn right at the Museum of Literature. Walk straight ahead up the hill all the way to the end of the (increasingly narrow) road, then cross the bridge to your right, and you’ll reach the hike’s starting point. (Get directions to here: )
Go up the slope to the left, and the hiking trail begins. Walk up and up the concrete slope, cross a few bridges over the stream, and keep following the signs to 摩耶山頂. Warning: there are lots of steps..!
Near the top, at the last ruins, turn left and wrap around to the shrine on top of the mountain, then go straight ahead over the hill, down the slope, to the road. Turn right, and you’re at the top. Enjoy the view!
Coming down, head back down the road towards the path you arrived on, and go down the stairs to your left. Follow the path down, turn left at the junction (look for the 摩耶ケーブル下 signs), then follow the signs all the way down… It’s a little confusing at 2 intersections: at one, you have to turn right and go UP the stairs (even though it feels like the wrong way), and then a minute later, you have to go DOWN the stairs and cross the river (even though the path looks very small). Then climb the stairs when you reach a small dam, down the other side, and you’re done! (End hike point: ). It’s an easy 15 minute walk back to Oji-koen station.

Midori no Hi waterfall hike
Japanese Wildlife Encounter - Exploring the Mt. Mitake Rock Garden and Waterfalls.
Had a great time hiking one of my favourite accessible trail loops near Tokyo. I climbed Mt. Mitake before summiting Mt. Otake and following the beautiful rock garden featuring 2 stunning waterfalls back to Mitake. Let me know if you want more details to try this yourself. Its a great option if you're staying in Tokyo and want to see some of what the beautiful mountains offer without having to travel too far.
Here is the hike starting and ending at the Cable Car station on Mitake's peak;
