Chikuba Shinyotei Ryokan Hotel Hakodate
Hakodate is the largest city in the south of Hokkaido, the northernmost island of Japan. The city is blessed with the bounties of nearby seas and fields. Hakodate was one of the first ports in Japan to open to international trade, together with Yokohama and Nagasaki, and it is one of the nation's busiest ports. Mt. Hakodate is said to afford one of the three finest night views in the world.
Chikuba Shin-yo-tei opened in 1949 in Yunokawa, a famous hot spring resort in Hakodate. The ryokan is designed to recall a Japanese teahouse. Patrons enjoy the waters of the natural hot spring and artfully prepared seasonal foods. Since opening, we have been lavishing our hospitality on guests as if each encounter were a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Enjoy your moment at Chikuba Shin-yo-tei, which never fails to provide relaxation.
Relax in any of the 41 guest rooms, each appointed with a miniature garden. They include the Chofuku Suite, and the Fukuju Presidential Suite, which features a private open-air bath and a Western-style bedroom.
Banquet rooms and private dining rooms of all sizes are available for groups of up to 10. Rates are based on double occupancy. Charges for extra adults may apply and will be due directly to the hotel.

Day one
Asahidake Onsen Yukomanso Ryokan.
How to go there:
From Shin Chitose station we took shinkansen to Sapporo (change train) and took another train straight to Asahikawa Station.
We had a lunch break and continue our journey to Asahidake Mountain.
They provide shuttle bus from 1430 Yen
Bus no 66 from bus stop 9
Please check your timing carefully as the frequency of the bus is low.
We booked from Agoda, cost around USD 359 for 3 person (dinner and breakfast included)
Day two
Daisetsuzan Asahidake Ropeway
From our ryokan is around 20 mins walk but luckily the ryokan manager is kind enough to send us with his car.
From the ropeway entrance we took the same shuttle bus back to Asahikawa station. We had a lunch stop there, and instead of taking the train we actually took the bus back to Sapporo station. It’s slightly longer but it’s cheaper. So if you have the time, definitely opt for bus instead.
We paid 2060 Yen per person. You can buy ticket at counter or pay straight to the driver.
First day at Otaru we stayed at Grand Park Otaru

Day 3

Japan Travel: Secluded Sulfur Onsen Resort--Tenninkyo, Hokkaido 15
Tenninkyo (天人峡) is located southwest of Asahidake, the highest mountain in the Taisetsuzan Mountains within the Daisetsuzan National Park in Hokkaido. Tucked between the cliffs, visitors will find this sulfur-rich Tenninkyo Hot Springs running wildly through the streams of the mountains. There are a few ryokan (hot spring inn) in the area where visitors can relax and let this region’s water heal their sore muscles.
Visitors may wish to visit Hagoromo Falls which is also in this area. This 270 meter high waterfall is the tallest waterfall in Hokkaido. There is a trail from the end of the village which can take visitors to the waterfall in less than 10 minutes by foot. Also on the trail is Shikishima Falls.
Note: The trail to Shikishima Falls may be closed for multiple reasons (damage from landslide, bear activity, etc.)

Jam Eats The World - Travel to Hakodate and Tokyo - Japan 2017 Winter
It is our seventh day and our last day in wonderful Hokkaido.
After breakfast in the hotel, we strolled at the morning market to check out the scene. The fresh seafood is really tempting, luckily we are already full.
We bought some food at the local konbini for lunch later.
After relaxing a bit in the hotel, we took the train back to Shin-Hokadate where we will ride the Hayabusa Shinkasen back to Tokyo.
After some train transfers, we finally arrived at our hotel in Tokyo, Hilton Tokyo Odaiba. On our first trip in Tokyo we had limited time in Odaiba and thought it would be a good base for visiting Tokyo Disneysea. They offer free shuttle to Disney as well.
We bought a day pass on the Yurikamome Monorail since we are planning to have a quick visit to the famous sites of Tokyo that we did not get to see last time. We will also save some yen versus single rides ( it was not covered by JR Pass).
Our fist stop was Tokyo Tower and then we ate dinner to my favorite curry place Go Go Curry in Akihabara (last time we had a hard time finding it, now we are seasoned pros. LOL!)
Then we had coffee at famous Shibuya crossing to cap the night.
