5 million spider lilies dye Kinchakuda red. Kinchakuda is a tourist site of Hidaka-city in Saitama pref., Japan.

500万本ともいわれる巾着田 （埼玉県日高市） の曼殊沙華が2016年も見ごろを迎えました．その様子を4Kで撮影しました。今年は，早咲き地点から遅咲き地点までほぼ同時に見ごろを迎えていて見ごたえのある曼珠沙華の群生となりました。

How to Get to Red Spider Lily Festival in Kinchakuda, Japan from Nearest Stat. 最寄駅から曼珠沙華祭り（巾着田）への行き方

Red Spider Lily Festival is held at Kinchakuda in Hidaka city, Saitama prefecture, Japan.
There are over 5 million red spider lilies growing wild, making it the largest of it's kind in Japan.
Every year, from the middle of September to the beginning of October, many people come to see the blooming of the red spider lilies.

I went to the Red Spider Lily Festival in 2018.

The nearest train station is Seibu Koma Station on Seibu Chichibu Line.

I don't like crowded place, so I went early in the morning.

A lot of scarecrows welcome visitors in front of the park.

The entrance fee of Red Spider Lily Park is 300 yen.



There is a nice restaurant near Kinchakuda.

Nagatoro is a small but scenic town deep in the mountains of western Saitama Prefecture. Located about 20 minutes north of Chichibu by train, Nagatoro is a popular spot for Tokyo day trippers looking for hiking, river boat tours and wild water sports in largely unspoiled nature. The whole town of Nagatoro has been designated a prefectural nature park and preserve.

The Nagatoro Line Kudari river boat experience has been part of Nagatoro since 1915, and is one of the town's major attractions, bringing in 200,000 visitors a year. Ride a boat handled by a pair of skilled boatmen and view the gorgeous valley crafted by nature while cruising down fast rapids and gentle currents. Cancellations do occur in the event of bad weather.

Asami Reizō has two branches separated just by a single train stop.
The main branch, Kanasaki, is accessible from Kami-Nagatoro Station, and is by far the most popular branch. In Summer you can expect to wait between 2 to 3hrs to get in. The other branch, Hodosan, is accessible from Nagatoro Station. It can still get busy here but not to the extent of the main branch.
