4K 稲佐山 長崎市 Mount Inasa, Nagasaki Kyushu JAPAN
Nagasaki 長崎市 is the capital and the largest city of Nagasaki Prefecture on the island of Kyushu in Japan. It became a centre of Portuguese and Dutch influence in the 16th through 19th centuries, and the Churches and Christian Sites in Nagasaki have been proposed for inscription on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Part of Nagasaki was home to a major Imperial Japanese Navy base during the First Sino-Japanese War and Russo-Japanese War. Its name means long cape.
During World War II, the American atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki made Nagasaki the second and, to date, last city in the world to experience a nuclear attack.
Mount Inasa 稲佐山 is a hill to the west of Nagasaki which rises to a height of 333 metres. The summit can be reached by ropeway, bus or car and offers great views over the city. In fact, the night views from Mount Inasa are ranked among Japan's three best night views besides the views from Mount Hakodate and Mount Rokko. Nagasaki Ropeway to Mt. Inasa
Hey all, here is the view of Nagasaki from Mt. Inasa
Inasayama, Mount Inasa Nagasaki ????️ A Japanese Hidden Treasure ????️ 長崎の稲佐山 ????️ Japan As It Truly Is
If you go to Nagasaki on a clear day and miss Inasayama, it'd truly be a crying shame. Mount Inasa or Inasayama is a gorgeous 333m mountaintop that commands a full 360 degree view of the city and sea. Even more than the great view of the city during the day is the view at night, called the $10 Million Dollar View and widely regarded as one of the 3 most beautiful city night views in Japan. There is no entrance fee; only cost is in transportation.
This video was taken on a rainy day but hopefully you will have better luck. You can catch a bus to near the top from Nagasaki Stn, or board a ropeway up the mountain (the former is far cheaper).
For the bus, take a bus from Nagasaki Stn. to the Inasayama Bus Stop - you will need to walk the last 15 minutes or so up the mountain to the summit. The buses run from mid-March to mid-December 1-2 times per hour, take about 15 minutes and cost about 150 yen. Or you can take Bus #3 or 4 to the Fuchi Shrine Bus stop and walk 2 minutes to the Nagasaki Ropeway Front gate. If you want the take the ropeway, be sure to first go to their website and print an online coupon to save a few bucks. See:
The ropeway costs 1230 yen round trip and runs 3-4 times per hour from 9AM-10PM.
If you are short of time, or have a group up to 4, then a taxi might make more sense. From Nagasaki Stn to Fuchi Shrine Stn is about 850 yen, or up to the summit about 2200 yen. If you're driving, you can drive to the top, with a paid parking lot open 24 hours.
If you're flexible, the best time to go is just before dusk to see the city in daylight, and watch it change to a beautiful night view.
Take some food and drinks, and enjoy!

Mount Unzen 雲仙岳 is an active volcanic group of several overlapping stratovolcanoes, near the city of Shimabara, Nagasaki Prefecture, on the island of Kyūshū, Japan's southernmost main island.
In 1792, the collapse of one of its several lava domes triggered a megatsunami that killed 14,524 people in Japan's worst-ever volcanic-related disaster. The volcano was most recently active from 1990 to 1995, and a large eruption in 1991 generated a pyroclastic flow that killed 43 people, including three volcanologists.
Currently its highest peaks are Fugen-dake 普賢岳? at 1,359 metres and Heisei-shinzan 平成新山 at 1,486 metres.

Day 14 - Mount Inasa
We hung around town for a while before heading over to Mount Inasa for suppositely one of the best night time views in Japan - and it did not disappoint. We also stuck around for an overpriced dinner, but none the less we had a good time.

Direction to Mt.Inasa Ropeway station/인 사사 로프웨이 역 방향/方向Mt.Inasa索道站
We often ask your opinion that the way to Mt.Inasa ropeway(Nagasaki Ropeway) station is difficult to understand.
I often see foreign tourists who are lost at the bus stop actually near the ropeway station.
So, I took a video from the bus stop to the ropeway station.
In the future, those who come to Nagasaki should be referred.
Please go to the right after getting off the bus.
To get to the ropeway station, please take a bus no. 3 or 4 from Nagasaki station.

Just a some minutes after reaching the summit, the operation of the funicular was stopped due to a thunderstorm. The view of the city Nagasaki from the mountain top at better weather conditions and in the evening is known as one of the most beautiful city panoramas in the world. Unfortunately, this is not evident on the video. However, the video shows the funicular ride...
