Hiking Mt. Nogohaku, Japan

Trip Report: Mt. Mizugaki to Mt. Kobushi
I used three days to get out of the concrete and into the mountains as I start to check some of the mountains of the list of 100 famous Japanese mountains.
In this video I make it up Mt. Mizugaki (瑞牆山), Mt. Kinpu (金峰山), and Mt. Kobushi (甲武信ヶ岳). I had planned on spending 4 days and 3 nights, but I set a good pace and managed to complete it in 3 days.
I used my hammock during the trip. I was kidding myself by thinking that a 6C (40F) top quilt and 3/4 under quilt would keep me warm on the windy peaks of the mountains. At around 2365m (7700') it was just too cold for my set up. Lesson learned.

Ah this 200/300 mountain lark has started off at a snail's pace... Mostly through my lack of effective planning. Being based at home rather than continually on the road can suck one into a state of complacency...and so, that being said, here's the last peak for me the year: Kentoku-san, nothing spectacular from afar, but a great little climb once your up on it. My pick of the bunch for 2018.
