No inverno é muito movimentado por lá pois tem uma grande concentração de hotéis, SPA e pistas de ski.

It is also called Takai Fuji, Fuji means mount fuji, because of its perfect cone shape.
Mt. Kosha (1352m) is well known as the place for tranning of Shinto Worshipers. around 6? to 10?th century. (I update when confirm)
many trained to reach god.

The Chubu Sangaku National Park (中部山岳国立公園, Chūbu Sangaku Kokuritsu Kōen) roughly encompasses the Northern Japan Alps, a volcanic mountain range that stretches across Toyama, Nagano and Gifu Prefectures, and includes several 3000 meter high peaks and breathtaking hiking courses. Together with the Central Japan Alps and Southern Japan Alps, the Northern Japan Alps were so named for being reminiscent of the European Alps.
The Chubu Sangaku National Park provides spectacular alpine vistas in every season. Popular destinations in the park include Kamikochi, a highland plateau famous for its beautiful mountain scenery; the unique Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route; and Hakuba, one of Japan's leading ski resort. The park is also loved for its outstanding hot springs and autumn colors.

Up above Kijimadaira Skifield at the base of Shigakogen...

These days, our kids seem to be only interested in watching TV Anime & shopping - it was really super to hear them say 'I want to fly, I want to fly,...fly fly fly!!!' - as long as we don't fall out of the sky...it's a real buzz^-^ and going up Mt Takayashiro on the lift you can feel it. The atmosphere on the top as guys get ready is like a warm-up zone for moon landings...possibly a little insanity mixed with unknown adventure & some kind of instantaneous freedom.
Great way to use amateur radio & take a look at local geography from 1 or 2 km up too^-^
Kenro sayes he can get almost anyone up there in about 10mins - one tandem jump costs only 5000JPY.
Next fine day, I'm in!!
