MOUNT PUTING BATO IN SAMAL ISLAND DAVAO REGION

Mount Putting Bato is good only for slow walking people and want just to have a hiking experience. Go to Sasa and take a Barge to Samal Island. Take a Single Motor Cycle to bring you to the beginning of the trail. Its about 2 hours walk for me.

Samal Mt.Puting bato to Canibad

Samok tour, from Mt.Puting bato side trip to Canibad the secret paradise. We arrived in Island Garden City of Samal arround 11am in the morning, then ride a motor cycle (habal2x) from babak to jelon it was a 1hour ride (P100fare), we had our lunch first before we start the trek in jelon basketball court. So we start the trek by 1pm in the afternoon the sun was very humid and we are very tired at the first part of the mountain but we are all climbed up until we reach the camp site area, we rest a lil bit since we have to pay for the logbook P5 and the amazing part to climb to the peak is we have a guide name blondei he is a dog, that own with the family who lives in there, the dog guided us to the top of mt. Puting bato. The struggle and pain we have that moment was paid when we reach the peak. We rest and put up our tent . there are cottage available there that you can rent for as low as P100 overnight, for the 2nd day of our trip, we go down to Canibad the secret paradise, its a long trek down and it was 2 -3hours journey from the peak go down to the beach. If you have enough money you can also ride a motorcylce to go there, but if you want to experience how long it is you can walk down go to the beach. You can search the beuaty of the beach in the internet, if you want to have a vacay for 2days.

My first solo climb, hihihi Please don't follow what I did, I received alot of kasaba from my uncle chefs at work, my elder brothers n sisters and from my family and friends who truly cared for me. Hehehe sorry, but will not promise not to do it again. :P
