Hilarious T-Rex Race Kicks off in Washington State

Is it a horse race? A camel race? It’s a T-Rex race!

Last week instead of a horse race the reputable racetrack, Emerald Downs, located in Auburn, in the Pacific Northwest state of Washington, announced a dinosaur race. A mass of people in oversized T-Rex costumes chaotically and hilariously broke out of a starting gate and onto the tracks. This is the third year in a row Emerald Downs hosted the race. On August 18th, we set sail from Fort Lauderdale, FL on our journey aboard Royal Caribbean's Harmony of the Seas! Let me tell you; this was an experience unlike any other.

The first video we're going to take you through, is our first ever slot machine jackpot handpay on a cruise ship!

A little about Royal Caribbean's Harmony of the Seas:
Currently, the largest cruise ship sailing in North America! It was the largest cruise ship in the world, until it's sister ship, Symphony of the Seas was built. That boat is currently sailing Europe, and won't reach the States until the end of the year! The Harmony of the Seas was incredible, being able to fit approximately 5,400 guests, it felt like a medium sized US city on water! From Izumi to Windjammer, and all the way to the famous Casino Royale!

The Casino Royale is a very attractive casino onboard the Harmony of the Seas, and our hats go off to Royal Caribbean for doing a spectacular job on the place. It includes hundreds of awesome and new slot machines from companies like IGT, Scientific, Aristocrat, and many others. It's a good combination of lower denomination machines and some higher denomination slot machines. They have roughly about 20 to 30 gaming tables, and everything from Baccarat to Blackjack.

The staff was absolutely the best part of the entire experience at Casino Royale on Harmony of the Seas. The manager of the casino, Zoltan, was fantastic. Our casino host, Adrian Stroe was an incredible guy, and another guy named Gris was serving the best cocktails around!

We jumped on one of the Aristocrat machines, and were playing between $7.20 and $24 a bet on Buffalo Gold Wonder Tower! The premise of the game is the same as normal Buffalo Gold, except, if you receive highlighted coins, you get to play all of the towers at once! The first game was a nice win on a $7.20 bet, and the handpay was on the $24 bet! Take a peek at our first ever handpay jackpot on a cruise ship!!

The food was to die for! We stayed in a Grand Suite, and as a member of this suite, we received access to the 17th deck. That included, free drinks at their bar, sit down restaurant for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Snacks and small plate meals, and any specialty coffee your heart desired.

The pools were outstanding. A bit too crowded during sea days, but for the most part, they stayed open late and the attendants were very generous.

Competitors dressed in everyone's favorite inflatable T. Rex suit took to the starting line at the Emerald Downs racetrack in Auburn, Washington, and ran for their lives.

At least a dozen or so dinosaurs sprinted down the track for nearly a photo finish.
