Tomb of Aurangzeb (Mughal emperors)
The Tomb of Aurangzeb, the last of the great Mughal emperors, is located in Khuldabad, Maharashtra, India. Aurangzeb is buried in an unmarked grave at the complex of the dargah or shrine of Sheikh Zainuddin.
Aurangzeb (1618–1707), who was the sixth Mughal emperor, ruled most of the Indian subcontinent for half a century until he died in 1707. According to his wish, he was buried near the dargah of Sheikh Zainuddin, his spiritual guru. His great grand father emperor Akbar ruled 50 years
Location
The tomb is located in the village of Khuldabad, in the district of Aurangabad, 24 kilometres (15 mi) from Aurangabad city. It is located in the south-eastern corner of the complex of the dargah of Sheikh Zainuddin.
Aurangzeb's Tomb, with marble jaali (latticed screen) around it.
Description
Aurangzeb died in 1707 at Ahmednagar. His body was then carried to Khuldabad after his son Azam Shah and daughter Zinat-un-Nissa came. There is a platform over the tomb made of red stone, less than three yards in length. There is also a cavity in the middle which measures a few fingers. The tomb has been covered with soil on which herbs grow. After his burial, he was given the posthumous title of Khuld-makan (he whose abode is in eternity). Lord Curzon later covered the site with marble and surrounded it with a pierced marble screen. The tomb is roofed by the vault of the sky. The gateway and the domed porch were added in 1760.
It is said that Aurangzeb paid for his burial place by stitching caps during his last years and that it cost only 14 rupees and 12 annas. The tomb is remarkably simple in keeping with Aurangzeb's own wishes. Aurangzeb's full name is written on a marble plate located in one of the corners of the tomb.
The dargah also houses the tomb of the first Nizam, Asaf Jah I, his son Nasir Jung, and those of Aurangzeb's son Azam Shah and his wife.

Fort of Devagiri, Daulatabad Fort, India in 4k ultra HD
Daulatabad, also known as Devagiri, is a 14th-century fort city in the Maharashtra state of India, about 16 kilometres (9.9 mi) northwest of Aurangabad. The place was originally named Devagiri when it was an important uplands city along caravan routes (ca. sixth century AD), but the intervening centuries have reduced it to a village. However it is also considered to be one of the seven wonders of Maharashtra and a developing tourist spot. The historical triangular fort of Daulatabad was built by first Yadava king Bhillama V in 1187. Starting 1327, it famously remained the capital of Tughlaq dynasty, under Muhammad bin Tughluq (r. 1325-1351), who also changed its name, and forcibly moved the entire population of Delhi for two years before it was abandoned for lack of water and Tughluq was constantly known to shift the capital from Delhi to Daulatabad and Daulatabad to Delhi. There is a belief that Devagiri was built in 1203 AD by a Dhangar or herdsman who acquired vast wealth by his good fortune. He had a brother who was a shepherd named 'Raja Ram' and in correlation with it he assumed the rank of a Raja (King).

Sikandra aerial view: Mughal Emperor Akbar's tomb and gardens
Sikandra, located only 13 km. from the Agra Fort is the last resting place of the Mughal emperor Akbar. Akbar was the greatest of the Mughal emperors and one of the most secular-minded royalties of his time. He was the heir to a long tradition of oriental refinement, a great patron of the arts, literature, philosophy and science. A visit to Akbar's monument opens before one, the completeness of Akbar's personality as completely as the Taj Mahal does of Mumtaz Mahal's. Akbar's vast, beautifully carved, red-ochre sandstone tomb is set amidst a lush garden. Akbar himself planned his own tomb and selected a suitable site for it. Akbar's son Jahangir completed the construction of this pyramidal tomb in 1613. The tomb stands in the centre of a vast garden, which is enclosed by high walls on all sides. In the middles of each enclosing wall is a monumental gateway. The whole garden is divided into four equal quarters on the conventional charbhag plan. Each quarter is separated by a high terrace or raised path with a narrow shallow water channel running at the centre. Each terrace has in the centre, a tank with fountains. A broad paved causeway leads to the tomb, which has five storeys and is in the shape of a truncated pyramid. The main tomb has a unique square design which is unparalleled by all other Mughal buildings.

Habitants of Raisen city in Madhya Pradesh carried on a nearly 200-year-old tradition on Monday by firing a cannon over the city before breaking fast on Ramadan.
The Muslims of the Raisen and nearby villages begin and end the fast in the month of Ramadan with the blast of cannon. The firing of the cannon is a daily event during the holy month.
The blast of the cannon alerts the citizens to the sehri, a meal consumed early in the morning by Muslims before fasting in Ramadan. Later, in the evening, people break their fast only after they hear the second blast of the day.

SONERI MAHAL - AURANGABAD (INDIA)
Khadki Today's Aurangabad was the original name of the village which was made in 1610 .A capital city by a Muslim Minister Malik Ambar, the Prime Minister of Murtaza Nizam Shah of Ahmadnagar. He made it his capital and the men of his army raised their dwellings around it. Within a decade, Khadki grew into a populous and imposing city. Malik Ambar cherished strong love and ability for architecture. Aurangabad was Ambar's great architectural achievement and creation. Malik Ambar died in 1626. He was succeeded by his son Fateh Khan, who changed the name of Khadki to Fatehnagar. With the capture of Daulatabad by the imperial troops in 1633, the Nizam Shahi dominions, including Fatehnagar, came under the possession of the Moghals.
In 1653 when Prince Aurangzeb was appointed the viceroy of the Deccan for the second time, he made Fatehnagar his capital and renamed it Aurangabad. Aurangabad is sometimes referred to as Khujista Bunyad by the Chroniclers of Aurangzeb's reign.
Bibi Ka Maqbara 1880s
Bibi Ka Maqbara was built in 1678 by Aurangzeb's son, Azam Shah, as a loving tribute to his mother, Rabia-ul-Daurani alias Dilras Bano Begam. In 1756, Nizam-ul-Mulk Asif Jah, a distinguished General of Aurangzeb with the intention of founding his own dynasty in the Deccan, arrived at Aurangabad and made it his capital. He paid a visit to Delhi in 1723, but returned in 1724, Nizam Ali Khan Asaf Jah II transferred his capital from Aurangabad to Hyderabad in 1763. It was ceded by Ali Khan Asaf Jah II, Nizam of Hyderabad to Maratha Empire with Daulatabad and Solapur after Battle of Kharda in 1795 with paying indemnity of 30 million rupees. However, Marathi rule was lasted only 8 years and Nizam regained lost territories except Solapur with help of Arthur Wellesley, British general during Second Anglo-Maratha War.
Aurangabad was a part of Nizam's princely Hyderabad State until its annexation into Indian Union and thereafter a part of Hyderabad state of India until 1956. In 1956 it became a part of newly formed bilingual Bombay state and in 1960 it became a part of Maharashtra state.
