Asia's biggest Butterfly Park in Srirangam
The butterfly park at Trichy which is considered as one of the biggest butterfly parks in Asia, is being constructed over 35 acres at the cost of approximately 8 crores. Though the construction is not yet over public are allowed to visit without fee.
It is exactly situated near river bank of Cauveri near Melur, Srirangam. There is no public or private transport available after melur. There is no hotel nearby.
This park has beautiful garden, fountain, largest butterfly glass house, fountain and hut to take rest and have food.
The main attraction would be Zodiac Park. When the park is opened, public would get tree at free of cost inside the butterfly park and they can plant and grow. This is called “Nakashtra Vanam” (Zodiac Park). The authority of Butterfly Park will also have a plan to spray scent which attracts butterfly and make them to sit on the public when they enter.
Mukkombu is one of the Trichy’s main attractive tourist spots is situated near to this park (aprx 7 kms). You can ride to Mukkombu on the river bank of Cauvery. It would be unforgettable experience. Take tool kit with you in case of puncture or breakdown. There is no mechanical shop nearby.
This is Aisa's biggest butterfly park is going to open soon. It spread over 35 acres filled with park, butterfly houses, butterfly miniature, fountain, zodiac Sign Park etc. Zodiac Sign Park is going to be the centre of attraction when this park is opened. Visitor can plant a tree at free of cost according to their sign. This butterfly park is situated near Srirangam melur (Srirangam Nattu Vaikal)

Welcome to Kallanai & Mukkombu dams (2018)
I have made a special visit to Trichy to see the fury of the Kaveri river at Kallanai and Mukkombu dams, the first time in my life. I was really amazing to see the Kaveri river in the Tamil Nadu.
Kavery water diverted from Mukkombu to Kavery water and Kollidam. Sri Rangam town is surrounded by Kaveri and Kollidam rivers. Again Kaveri water goes to Kallanai where it is diverted to Vennaru, Kaveri to Tanjavur and two to three canals and also to Kollidam river where it goes directly to Veeranam Lake, which supplies to water to Chennai also. The water overflows Veeranam lake directly goes to the sea. Please wikipedia for full details.

A Walk up Rockfort | Tiruchirappalli
Tiruchirappalli Rockfort is a historic fortification and temple complex built on an ancient rock. It is located in the city of Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, India. It is constructed on a 83 metres (272 ft) high rock. There are two Hindu temples inside, the Ucchi Pillayar Temple, Rockfort and the Thayumanaswami Temple, Rockfort. The name Rockfort comes from frequent military fortification built here, first by the emperors of the Vijayanagara Empire and later by the British Empire during the Carnatic Wars. The oldest structure in the fort is a cave temple built by the Pallavas in 580.

Car driving on Mukkombu Dam near Trichy is a memorable one. The Dam is too narrow that two vehicles cannot pass. Only one four wheeler at a time can cross. Surrounding nature is awesome.
