Muktheshwara Temple, Haveri, Karnataka
Chaudayyadanapur is a small village in Ranebennur taluk, Haveri District, Karnataka, India. All facets of Indian civilization (religion, art and poetry) are exemplified in an exquisite Mukteshwara temple, with the highest degree of refinement.
The Mukteshwar Temple is a single cella temple in Jakkanachari style. Similar temples were built under the patronage of Kalachuris of Kalyani or Seuna dynasties. This temple is a jewel of architecture of the 11th–12th centuries. It was built during the heyday of the kingdom ruled by the Kalyani Chalukyas and the Seunas of Devagiri. It is dedicated to an Udbhava (spontaneously born) Lingam named Mukteshwar.
The dome of the temple is hollow and is closed by the slabs of the stupi. Shikhara of the Mukteshwara temple is 2.2 m in its axis at the base. The stupi is made of three beautiful lotiform mouldings diminishing in size and a lotus bud with its base.
The history of Mukteshwar Temple at Chaudayyadanapur is known through seven inscriptions in medieval Kannada, engraved on large steles. They provide information on the local rulers, kings of Guttala (Gupta ascendancy), on some constructions in the temple complex, on diverse donations to the deity.
They provide the details on a prominent religious leaders. Inscriptions introduce Muktajiyar, a Lakulasaiva saint, and Shivadeva, a Virashaiva saint, who entered the place on the 19 August 1225 and led there a long life of renunciation, asceticism and spiritual elevation. The legacy of this age of intense Shaivism is a jewel of architecture and sculpture.

With the spread of Internet global accessing (fastest Internet broadband connection of TCP with accumulator cables[clarification needed] and semi fast connection), video clips have become very popular online. By mid-2006 there were tens of millions of video clips available online, with new websites springing up focusing entirely on offering free video clips to users and many established and corporate sites adding video clip content to their websites. With the spread of broadband Internet access, video clips have become very popular online. Whereas most of this content is non-exclusive and available on competing sites, some companies produce all their own videos and do not rely on the work of outside companies or amateurs.

Ambigara Chowdaiah, Ranebennur, Haveri district
Ambigara Chowdaiah is a special person among the 12th century of Kalyana . He was a ferryman by profession and he stands out among the sharanas for his outspoken and blunt way of expressing his views about the people. He was a true follower of Lingayata dharma and lived his life practicing the philosophy he believed in.
Not much information is available about Chowdaiah's early life or why he went to Kalyana. It is said that he hailed from Chowdadanapura village in Ranibennur taluk, Haveri district. There is a memorial(tomb) near the place on the banks of river Thungabhadra, which has now become a pilgrimage centre.
Mukteshwar Temple is a single cella temple in Jakkanachari style. It is dedicated to an Udbhava (self manistated) Lingam named Mukteshwar. Beside this temple river tungabhadra flows. There is the tomb of Ambigara Chowdaiah very close to the temple. The place is very peaceful and beautiful. People from city should visit this place to get peace of mind and relaxation.
Ambigara Chowdaiah is straight forward writer; we can see sharpness in his ‘Vachanas’ (poems) which indicated his confidence level and courage to represent the truth in a rigid, orthodoxy society.
There is a cave named after him on the outskirts of Basava Kalyana. He was an active working member of Anubhava Mantapa. About 270 Vachanas written by him under the penname 'Ambigara Chowdaiah', have been recovered. Chowdaiah's choice of penname reflects independent nature and his deep respect for his Kayaka. He was a revolutionary Vachanakara, who harshly criticised pretentious people. Not only did he criticise, but also showed ways to improve oneself from his Vachanas. It is evident that he shunned blind beliefs, superstitions, and old religious customs. He has praised Basavanna, Padihari Uttanna, Haralaiah and others in his vachanas. Several sharanas have praised Ambigara Chowdaiah in their vachanas for his boldness in pointing out the mistakes of people, his awakened consciousness (arivu), and his spiritual life.

There are also idols of Goddess Parvati, Lord Brahma and Lord Vishnu.
According to Puranas, the sanctified spot is listed as one among 18 temples that are highly revered and associated with Lord Shiva. It is believed that Lord Shiva killed a demon here. But later with the grace of Lord Shiva he attained Mukti. Many devotees wanting a child visit the temple, offer their sincere prayers to the lord and soon get their wish granted.

Nearest airport is located in Pantnagar (102km away) and nearest railway station is located in Kathgodham (68km away).
Mukteshwar is the abode of a saint — Shri Mukteshwar Maharaj ji — who lived at the Top Cottage Temple where his samadhi is. One of his disciples, Swami Sanshudhanand ji, now stays there. The whole temple complex is a Tapovan and an ideal place for meditation. Mukteshwar temple was built by a pandiya king from the Tamil kingdom during 15th century. This can be confirmed by local guides who have been living there for generations.
