Mumbles Pier, Swansea
I recently paid my first visit to Mumbles Pier, at the western end of Swansea Bay, since the pier was closed for renovations two or three years ago. The renovations aren't complete yet, but the new lifeboat station looks quite nice. There's a thriving Kittiwake colony on the pier, which you can see a glimpse of in the film, and I'll post some more footage of the birds in my next video.

Designed by W.Sutcliffe Marsh, the 835 foot pier opened on May 10th 1898 costing £10,000. It was the terminus for the Swansea and Mumbles Railway.
The pier was extensively reconstructed in the 1950s, and a landing jetty was added officially re-opening on 9th June 1956. A new amusement arcade was built on the pier’s frontage 10 years later.
Since then, many renovations have been completed and as it stands today, the pier is currently closed for renovation, 15th May 2018.

Went down Mumbles Bay in Swansea for the day with Jon and Morg, decided to take some photos and film some footage, this is a small edit.

Mumbles & Oystermouth Castle - A Quick Tour Of Swansea Bay, Wales
A quick look at Mumbles and Oystermouth Castle on Swansea Bay in South Wales.
Mumbles is the headland at the end of Swansea Bay and is the start of the beautiful coastline of the Gower Peninsula.
The Victorian pier is being renovated and at it’s end is the new RNLI lifeboat station. The old lifeboat station with the red roof still exists along side the pier.
A short walk along Swansea Bay is Oystermouth Castle. The Norman Castle was built in 1106 and used to about 1650.
From the ruins there is great view of Mumbles and Swansea Bay.
