Ioannina in Greece ( Grecia Griechenland Griekenland ) - Ιωάννινα - is the capital and largest city of Epirus, located on the western shore of lake Pamvotis. Located 450 km from Athens, 290 kilometres from Thessaloniki and 80 km from the port of Igoumenitsa in the Ionian Sea. Founded by the Byzantine Emperor Justinian in the 6th century AD, the town flourished following the Fourth Crusade, when many wealthy Byzantine families fled there in the early 13th century following the sack of Constantinople. Ioannina has a wealth of attractions and museums: The Islet of Pamvotis lake, the Island Museum, the National Archaeological Museum, the castle located in the center of the town, the Fethiye Mosque located in Its-Kale Fortress, the Aslan Pasha Ottoman Mosque, the Old Ottoman Library, the Byzantine Museum, the Municipal Gallery of Giannina, and the Jewish Synagogue. 10 km south of the city lies the Pavlos Vrellis Greek History Museum, a wax museum which covers events and personalities from Greek history, established in 1995 and it is the result of the personal work of one man. Ioannina is famous throughout Greece for its silverwork and has many shops selling silver jewelry and decorative items.

Rodotopi Guitar Orchestra, Ioannina - Greece / Concert in Preveza 2016
Excerpts from the concert of the Rodotopi Guitar Ensemble at the Opera of Water and Dreams which is a fully-fledged opera venue made from recycled cans by 85-year-old artist Leandros Spartiotis. The opera stage is located on Pefkakia Beach in Preveza (Greece), next to a Venetian bastion, with the colorful cans reflecting in the water and creating spectacular lighting effects. The owner of one of Greece’s largest private art galleries, Mr Spartiotis is an active artist, woodworker, photographer and designer.
The concert took place during the full moon of August 18, 2016.

Thessaloniki. The Egnatia street during the Roman period
Η φαρδιά οδός που διασχίζει την πόλη της Θεσσαλονίκης από τη μια άκρη της μέχρι την άλλη έχει το όνομα Εγνατία. Πήρε αυτό το όνομα γιατί θεωρείται μια προέκταση της Ρωμαϊκής Εγνατίας οδού που διέσχιζε τη Μακεδονία από το Δυρράχιο μέχρι την Κωνσταντινούπολη. Τα έργα για την κατασκευή του υπογείου σιδηροδρόμου της πόλης έφεραν στο φως ευρήματα από το δρόμο και από κτίσματα που τον περιέβαλλαν όλων των περιόδων. Κάνουμε μια προσπάθεια να αναπαραστήσουμε το δρόμο και ορισμένα από τα κτίσματα που τον κοσμούσαν την περίοδο του 4ου αιώνα. Η αναπαράσταση, όπως αναφέρεται και στο βίντεο, είναι υποθετική.
The Egnatia street in the middle of Thessaloniki is an ancient street known from the Roman period probably as via Regia. The excavations for the construction of the subway revealed a lot of ancient structures. We try in this video to reconstruct the street as it was during the 4th century a.d. mostly just schematically.

Greece Winter - Part 2 [ Nafplio ]
If you've not watched Part 1, watch it with the link below :
Part 2 starts off with Nafplio after the 477km drive from Kalampaka. We went to visit the Ancient Mycenae Citadel (20+km if I'm not mistaken) and the Treasury of Atreus. After that we bought some oranges on the roadside which coincidentally had an Art Gallery which sold us some souvenirs. Them we went to the Palamidi Castle which was on top of a huge mountain. It brought us breathtaking views throughout our whole visit there as you can see through the stills i added inside the video. Next, we went down to the Nafplio Port and took some photos. At night the little town was filled with Christmas lights which made it look magical. The next day we left early as we had to drive back to Athens to catch a flight to Santorini which you'll see in Part 3. On the way to Athens Airport, we stopped to see the Corinth Canal. It is a man made canal for huge ships and boats to pass through.

Πάνω από 1.700 μαθητές από τα σχολεία όλου του νομού, με τον ενθουσιασμό, το κέφι και το χαμόγελο τους, έστειλαν το μήνυμα πως η διεκδίκηση του τίτλου της Πολιτιστικής Πρωτεύουσας της Ευρώπης, είναι υπόθεση των πολιτών.
Δίπλα στον μοναδικό «καμβά» που συνθέτουν η λίμνη και το Κάστρο, οι εκατοντάδες μαθητές πρόσθεσαν την «πινελιά» του ενθουσιασμού, της αισιοδοξίας, της βεβαιότητας: Μπορεί να συμβεί!
Ο Δήμος Ιωαννιτών μπήκε στην κούρσα διεκδίκησης της Πολιτιστικής Πρωτεύουσας, επενδύοντας στον πολιτισμό, θεωρώντας τον ως μοχλό ανάπτυξης για το μέλλον μιας πόλης εξωστρεφούς, σύγχρονης, ευρωπαϊκής.
«Αυτό που συμβαίνει σήμερα είναι μαγικό. Ενώνουμε τα χέρια ενώνουμε δυνάμεις για να δείξουμε τι σημαίνει αλληλεγγύη, τι σημαίνει προσπάθεια. Όταν είμαστε όλοι μια γροθιά μπορούμε να κερδίζουμε. Σας ευχαριστώ από την καρδιά μου», είπε ο Δήμαρχος Ιωαννίνων, Θωμάς Μπέγκας, απευθυνόμενος στα παιδιά.

From 1999 to 2001, she studied in the Thessaloniki School of Fine Arts, in the Painting Department with Professor M. Theofilaktopoulos.
In 2001, she got accepted in Athens School of Fine Arts, in the Painting Studio of Professor T. Patraskidis, where she graduated with honors in 2005.
At the same time she studied in the Mosaics Studio with Professor D.Aggelidou
Nowadays, she lives and works in Athens.
Her work can be found in private collections in Greece and other countries.

Elias Mavroskoufis was born in Ptolemaida (Greece), in 1982.
He is a songwriter and he started playing music
and writing lyrics from his youth.
In 2014 he won the audience award for one of his own songs, named Vazo Fotia(set fire), in
the Greek song competitions/4 - the Hellenic project,
whose founder is the famous composer Dimitris Papadimitriou,
at Onassis Cultural Centre.
He composed music for poems and children songs, which were also presented at Onassis Cultural Centre.
Nowadays, Elias lives and works in Athens
and he is preparing his first album of his own songs with the arranger and flute musician Stefanos Chatzianagnostou.

Elias Mavroskoufis was born in Ptolemaida (Greece), in 1982.
He is a songwriter and he started playing music
and writing lyrics from his youth.
In 2014 he won the audience award for one of his own songs, named Vazo Fotia(set fire), in
the Greek song competitions/4 - the Hellenic project,
whose founder is the famous composer Dimitris Papadimitriou,
at Onassis Cultural Centre.
He composed music for poems and children songs, which were also presented at Onassis Cultural Centre.
Nowadays, Elias lives and works in Athens
and he is preparing his first album of his own songs with the arranger and flute musician Stefanos Chatzianagnostou.
