Лаборатория полевых записей 2018 // Field Recording Lab 2018
Massif Trophies.
Петр Макаров (RU) – композитор, пианист и саундпродюсер из Мурманска, принимающий участие различных камерных и оркестровых проектах Мурманской областной филармонии и международных арт-проектах. Постоянный композитор Мурманского областного театра кукол. Volgograd: lonely victims of Benetton
For 12 years already the Chicherova family from Volgograd has been struggling for comfortable living conditions. Under the windows of their flat at No. 16 Lenin Avenue the owner of the shop built a ventilation attachment. Since then, the life of Nina Chicherova, a concentration camp prisoner and a war veteran, of her daughter, a single mother Olga, and of her two granddaughters has turned into hell. On April 8, 2009, judge Stankova of the Tsentralny District Court of Volgograd, recognized the attachment to the shop made by Benetton Realty Russia company as an unauthorized construction and ordered the owner to demolish the structure at his own expense. However, on May 29 and August 19, 2009, the same judge Stankova reversed her decision and passed a new ruling in favour of the shop owner. In June 2013, after 11 years of resistance -- letters, complaints and trials -- Olga Chicherova was placed into the SIZO (pre-trial prison) and accused under Part 1, Article 318 (use of violence against a state official), and Article 319 (insulting a state official) of the Russian Criminal Code. She spent 6 months in custody, after which she was sentenced to three years of conditional imprisonment and a fine of 30,000 roubles. The fight for the rights of the women and his family continues. Slide-Show (Nord-quartet)
The idea of creating the NORD- QUARTET came into being in the autumn of 1998 in the course of the region festival for ensembles of Russian folk instruments in Murmansk (Russia). It was at that time when the domra duet of Liudmila Vikhareva (soprano domra) and Liubov Shapurko (alto domra) and duet of Alexei Loginov (button accordion) and Miroslav Ilnitskiy (double-bass balalaika) - met.
The musicians played some music pieces together. The musicians were so satisfied with playing together that they decided to create the repertoire for their collective. The repertoire of ensemble consists music of various times, genres and styles: The Russian folk melodies, pieces of modern composers, jazz compositions, church music, and also classical works. Extremely strong in the ensemble performance, able to hear and feel one another, the players are a collective, where each of them is a master, a soloist.
The original sounding of NORD- QUARTET is in creation of a bright impression and mood. Each instrument represents different functions: theme, second voice counterpoint, pedal - as it is accepted in orchestral music. Therefore sounding of ensemble can be compared with orchestral. Sometimes musicians with the purposes of experiment invite the soloists playing on others musical instruments - violin, drums or soloists-singers. The NORD-QUARTET performances left unforgettable impressions in many cities of RUSSIA (1999 - 2009), FINLAND (1999, -02, -07, -08, -09), USA (2003), NORWAY (2004), SWEDEN (1999, -00, -01, -02, -05). The Swedish newspapers wrote about the great success of the quartet: ... inconceivable possibilities, almost incredible, virtuosity, the highest musicality, passionate playing... The NORD- QUARTET became a participant of many festivals and competitions. The ensemble was awarded the diplomas of the VIII (1999), IX (2001), XII (2005), XIII (2006), XIV (2007) North-West competitions and 1-st All-Russia festival - competition of ensembles and orchestras of the national peoples of Russia (2006) for the high professionalism. In April 2007 the NORD- QUARTET was the Winner of the 2-nd International festival-competition of orchestras and folk-groups in Moscow.
NORD- QUARTET is connected with the Ars Viva Concert Series (American musical agency).
The Assistant Professor of music - Kendall Kennison has written: .I am pleased to commend and appreciate the traditional Russian music group NORD following their successful visit to USA under the auspices of the Ars Viva Concert Series. The audience was delighted by the performance the quartet gave. Most importantly to us the students who attended were also quite excited and were pleased to be able to speak with the musicians afterwards and examine the instruments.

More Russian Troops Captured In Ukraine
Pro-Russian rebels in eastern Ukraine seized a key coastal town yesterday in a move which opened a dangerous new front against the Kiev government.
Separatist forces flying the flag of the rebel Donetsk People's republic entered the coastal town of Novoazovsk, depriving Ukraine of control of its southernmost section of border with Russia and putting the insurgents within striking distance of the centre of regional government in Mariupol.
The lighting advance took place in an area tens of miles from territory previously held by the rebels, suggesting that the troops originated at least in part from the Russian side of the border.
Combined with a series of other defeats and the capture of Russian soldiers inside Ukraine on Tuesday, it increased speculation that – despite official denials – Russian regular forces have now entered the war alongside the separatists.
Kiev claimed that a vast column of up to 100 tanks and heavy weapons from Russia was later spotted moving towards Temanove, a government-held town 20 miles to the north of Novoazovsk.
