Murphy's Haystacks,Eyre Peninsula,South Australia by d-t-b.ch
This documentary by d-t-b is about the Murphy's Haystacks. An inselberg rock formations located at Mortana, between Streaky Bay and Port Kenny on the Eyre Peninsula in South Australia. They are of a 'tumulus' form of weathered granite outcrop made of a pink, massive, coarsely equigranular rock consisting mostly of quartz and orthoclase. (Wikipedia)
Daily Road Trip Vlog | Streaky Bay, Sea Caving & Beach Fishing
On Day 4 of our travel to the Adelaide 4WD & Adventure Show, we awake to our seaside campsite at Streaky Bay, grab a coffee and cake at a Streaky Bay Cafe, then hang around on the Streaky Bay Jetty. We also check out Murphys Haystacks, and the Talia caves by the sea, before finding a spot to camp near Elliston for some beach fishing.

Streaky Bay
Streaky Bay on the far west coast of South Australia is a well visited area noted for the great fishing and natural wonder in the area
Nearby is the only mainland breading colony of Australian seal lions (found no where else in the world) at Cape Labatt and the unusual granite insulburghs known locally as Murphy's haystacks

ECO EXPERIENCE. DOLPHINS/SEA LIONS, BAIRD BAY SA.
[Sat. 11th April, 2015]
GEIST VAN TRIP INTO BAIRD'S BAY, SOUTH AUSTRALIA. To go on the Ocean Eco Experience. It was one of the highlights of my life, free swimming with firstly, Dolphins, and then across the entrance of Baird's Bay to the Seal Lion colony.
We parked our van on the beach out in front of the Eco Centre.
As they were short of water. We emptied our Geist van storage tank, poking the shower head out the bathroom widow & showering onto the sand.
We camped at Murphy's Haystacks, near Mortana, the prev. night. Road in to Baird's was all dirt & rocky.
Finished it off with a wonderful cappuccino in the cafe. We were also able to purchase used mask/snorkels, there cleaned up to virtually new condition.
Unfortunately, we scrubbed out the sides of two of our Navara tyres on the rocky dirt road to STREAKY BAY. And spent the next three days in our van, located in a wreckers yard, waiting for a new set of Mickey Thompson tyres to arrive.
