Jog falls is the 2nd highest waterfall in India. A must see when the falls in its glory. Sadly, it hadn't rained for few days so not much water, however, the place has its own charm.

Murudeshwar Temple on the coast of the Arabian Sea in Karnataka
Murudeshwara Temple in Bhatkal Taluk, Uttara Kannada District in Karnataka state is famous for the world’s second tallest Shiva statue. Built on Kanduka hill, this temple is truly remarkable for certain extraordinary features not seen in any temple in the world. Located between Honnavar and Bhatkal, the temple is surrounded on three sides by the waters of the Arabian Sea, and from the hilltop the scenic landscape that unfolds in front of our eyes is breathtaking.
Murudeshwara Temple is world renowned for the 123-feet Lord Shiva statue and a modern Rajagopuram or tower at the entrance of this ancient temple. This Rajagopuram is the world's tallest, standing at 249 feet. Inaugurated in May 2008, this mammoth structure is the latest addition to Murudeshwara Temple. The gopuram has 22 floors and is the only gopuram to be fitted with elevators. Visitors can go to the topmost floor and have an aerial view of the Arabian Sea and the statue of Lord Shiva. Another exclusive feature of this temple is the life- sized statues of two elephants at the base of the gopuram. Murudeshwar Beach, which is near this temple, is a popular tourist destination and is among the most beautiful beaches of Karnataka.

I made a solo Budget Travel to Murdeshwar Shiva Temple. It is a great weekend Break from Bangalore and Mumbai. I went there in the capacity of a travel blogger and Vlogger.
Located in Bhatkal in North Karnataka, it has world’s tallest gopuram in a Hindu temple. 237.5-feet-tall and 20 storied Raja Gopura is a sight to behold. There is also a lovely beach. Murdeshwar is actually a tiny fishing village on the border of Karnataka and Maharashtra in South West India.
It is a low budget offbeat destination suitable for both solo travel and group travel. It is one of the top places to visit in this region of India.
The 123 feet (37 m) tall statue of Shiva Bhagwan is world’s second tallest statue of Shiv ji. It costed INR 50 million and took 2 years to build. Also, do not miss the Sun Chariot. Places to visit near Murdeshwar are Bhatkal, Chitrapur Math, Gokarna, Idagunji, Kollur, Mangalore,Maravanthe beach, Om beach, Shirali and Udupi.

Looking for a long weekend getaway? We have figured it out for you. We finally had a weekend which was in our bucketlist for years. One of the best Scuba diving spot in India, Murudeshwar. We planned a 3 day trip which was a relaxing and thrilling both! We travelled to Murudeshwar in train from Thane, We reached around 4 AM and don't worry you'll get riksha from the station. After multiple hotel hunt we ended up at the hotel mentioned in the video. We had kept that day for relaxing at the beach and just playing around. Head to the next video for our Scuba experience.

Murudeshwara - Ariel Walk
Murudeshwar Temple is built on the Kanduka Hill which is surrounded on three sides by the waters of the Arabian Sea. It is dedicated to Shiva, and a 20-storied gopura is constructed at the temple. The temple authorities have installed a lift that provides a breath-taking view of the 123-feet Shiva idol from the top of the Raja gopura.
The linga is believed to be a piece of the original Atma Linga and is about two feet below ground level. The Lingam is essentially a rough rock inside a hollowed spot in the ground. Entry into the sanctum is banned for all devotees.
Statue of great Lord Shiva: It is the second highest statue of Lord Shiva in the world. The tallest Shiva statue is in Nepal known as the(Kailashnath Mahadev Statue). The statue is 123 feet (37 m) in height and took about two years to build. The statue was built by Shivamogga's Kashinath and several other sculptors, financed by businessman and philanthropist R.N. Shetty, at a cost of approximately 50 million Rs.
