N. Papy: Adeste Fideles (F. Bigi Ewerhart)
Federico Bigi Ewerhart plays a Prelude on Adeste Fideles by N. Papy on the historical 16' Césarini harmonium in his workshop in Castellazzo (near Reggio Emilia). This lovely instrument, built by parisian Manufacture Césarini, was restored during these last weeks by Federico and his father Pierpaolo and in next months will be moved to the Museo degli Organi 'Santa Cecilia' in Massa Marittima, one of the most important italian museum of historical instruments. The composition is a Prélude on Adeste Fideles by N. Papy, organist in Spa, no further informations about him. Petrucci Music Library hypothesizes can be the composer François Joseph Popy (1874-1928), sometimes called Francis Popy or sometimes: Francis Papy; the N. could be a misprint for F., or it could be some sort of honorific (not sure what, though).
