Draaiorgelmuseum Haarlem - Handdraaiorgel 'De Harlekino' - Organ Museum
(HD) Filmed in Haarlem (Kunkels) Organ Museum on 26th January 2014.
This small hand-turned organ called 'De Harlekino' was built in 1995 by Adrie Vergeer of Gouda, the Netherlands. It has 42 keys and thanks to its deep bass and bourdon, violin and flute pipes, has a rich and full sound.

90 Key Carl Frei draaiorgel 'De Hagenaar' plays 'Gouda Marsch' & 'Ciribiribin'
The well-known Carl Frei Dutch street organ 'De Hagenaar' started life as a smaller size organ built by De Vreese of Antwerp, Belgium in the 1920s. It was rebuilt in 1936 by Carl Frei of Breda to the 90 Key size, using some of his latest creations such as Biphone on Melody and Counter Melody. The organ's name means 'from the Hague'.
In more recent years this organ was sold to Germany, then on to Canada and the USA, and finally, for now, the UK. Unfortunately all of its changes of ownership now mean that there is a very high price associated with this instrument, added to which the organ's pneumatic and mechanical system badly needs a large amount of money and time spent on it.
Despite this it still plays reasonably well in its current location in Preston, Kent, and here we have two tunes:
Gouda Marsch
Ciribiribin

Draaiorgel de Blauwe Trom - Gaviolizaal Helmond
The organ was built in Antwerp in 1905 by Fa. Köningsberg. `De Blauwe Trom` can be seen and heard at the Gaviolizaal in Helmond. Visitors to the Gaviolizaal will find a warm welcome and a unique collection of organs and accordions. The Gaviolizaal is named after the inventor of the cardboard barrel organ book Anselmo Gavioli.

41 Keyless Wilhelm Bruder Fair Organ 'The Munich Organ' plays Medley No. 1
Nowadays this rare 41 Keyless Wilhelm Bruder Sohne fair organ, playing books, is not seen out and about too often, so it was great to be able to video it here. It is now owned by Don & Dorothy Robinson in Lincolnshire. Here it is seen and heard playing a book titled 'Medley No. 1', with tunes arranged by Reg Turlington (the previous owner):
1) Cherry Pink (and Apple Blossom White)
2) Wheels
3) Irene
4) Music Music Music
5) My Blue Heaven
6) Constantinople
The organ was built in 1912, in Waldkirch, Germany, and has undergone recent restoration work - it now looks superb and plays well - the odd squeak here and there can be forgiven as it had most likely not been played for a while - it may be the keyframe needing some adjustment.
Part 5 Veurne Draaiorgel Festival 2011 72 Key CARL FREI 'De Bloemenmeid'
VEURNE INTERNATIONAL STREET ORGAN FESTIVAL 18TH JUNE 2011
(Part 5 of 15): This instrument started life as a Gavioli barrel organ, but was completely rebuilt in 1934 by Carl Frei of Breda, The Netherlands and is perhaps one of the most typical examples of a Dutch street organ, with all the improvements and innovations that Carl Frei created during his organ building years.
Since 2007 the owner has been Martin Conrads of Zaltbommel, The Netherlands, and he has restored the instrument thoroughly and plays it regularly in the streets.
Here it plays:

Bursens Roll Operated Arburo Dance Organ 88 Keyless Dansorgel
Here we have Bursens Roll No. 171 playing, with tunes:
1) 0:07 Kameraden March (aka Una marcia in Fa)
2) 2:20 Ciao Ciao Bambina (roll label states 'Cha cha Bambina')
3) 4:18 Want als je tachtig bent
4) 6:10 Guitare en Tambourynen (trackerbar view + partial roll rewind)
All above likely arranged by Marcel Bartier.
The Arburo (short for ARthur BUrsens ROels) Dance Organs were popular in Belgium and The Netherlands, and built from the 1930s through to the 1960s. The sound they produced was of a similar nature to Decap organs, and they also looked similar in usually having the percussion instruments and accordion on display.
The typical Arburo (the brand normally used for the roll playing variant) organ measures about 7-8 feet high and wide, and about 4 feet deep, and uses air pressure to play the pipes and vacuum to read the roll and for percussion.
The keyframe (actually trackerbar) layout is as follows (for a fully-fitted 88 keyless instrument: the one playing in this video has a couple of ranks of pipes less, and many had considerably less than the full amount of instrumentation):
88 Keyless Arburo Dance Organ Scale

Interestingly, the 88-note hole spacing on the roll is the same as that used on larger Popper orchestrions, though obviously the holes perform different functions.

51 Key van Eyk 'My Happy Day' draaiorgel street organ plays two Dutch songs at Widnes 2010
One of the 51 Key Jan van Eyk draaiorgels or street organs, built a few years ago, plays two Dutch titled songs: 'Laat de Hele Boel Maar Waaien' and 'De Avond is Nog Jong' (both arranged by Arie Bekker) at the Fairground Organ Preservation Society Widnes Organ Rally, 26th September 2010.
The keyframe being operated by James Reid (organbooks.co.uk) who kindly played a couple of requested books for my video.
69 Key Bursens Street Organ 'Westonian' plays Al Jolson Medley, June 2010
This 69 Key Bursens Dutch Street Organ, in quite a large trailer, plays an Al Jolson Medley at the Preston (Kent) Rally, June 2010. Almost certainly owing to the weather being incredibly hot and dry, the organ is obviously not firing on all 69 cylinders, but it still sounds reasonable. A good example though of how organs DO NOT like hot dry weather!
Tune list:

1:22 Carolina in the Morning
2:06 Pretty Baby
2:27 I'm Sitting on Top of the World
3:11 Baby Face
3:54 Toot Toot Tootsie Goodbye

49 Keyless Trueman organ 'De Specht' plays 'Always In My Heart'
This rare and very nice sounding Trueman 49 Keyless Organ plays a tune called 'Always In My Heart' - not one I've heard very often arranged for street or fair organ, but it is a lovely tune and plays very nicely.
The overall effect of the organ, with its violin, bourdon, flute and celeste ranks is that of a Dutch street organ - and it works very well. The instrument plays using cardboard book music, with several tunes stuck together to make a long playing 'box' of music.
The owner was kind enough to play the organ to a private group of people in September 2010 at his home in Lincolnshire.

90 key Verdonk - Carl Frei system streetorgan de Jantjes plays 'Suite Oriental'
90 key Verdonk - Carl Frei system streetorgan de Jantjes plays 'Suite Oriental'. While the two original organfigures are in restauration at the moment two bell ladies from streetorgan de Willem Parel take care for the 'understudy bell ladies part'. The organ was built in 1987 by Jan Verdonk, Den Haag/The Hague, The Netherlands. The organ has brought its music into the streets of The Hague for years. Still the organ can be found in the streets of The Hague frenquently. At the moment the organ is preserved by people who are taking care of the organs built by Jan Verdonk. Though the organ may not play perfect it takes a lot of time to have the organ playing well and in good condition.
