The Museum of Automobiles - Petit Jean Mountain
We visited the Museum of Automobiles during our stay at Petit Jean Mountain in Morrilton, Arkansas. Included in the collection is a vehicle once owned by Elvis and another owned by JFK. About 2/3 of the collection are seen here. Regrettably I did not take the time to get them all on video.

This Is Arkansas: Cool Cars, Catfish, & Country Cooking
It's the best that Petit Jean Mountain, Arkansas has to offer: Cool Cars, Catfish, & Country Cooking - all rolled up into one! The Museum of Automobiles sits high atop Petit Jean Mountain and every June it holds its annual summer car show & swap meet. This event attracts thousands of people from a number of different states and it's the largest to-do that Petit Jean Mountain sees all year long. There are classic antique cars fully restored, a lot of antique cars NEEDING to be restored, modified custom jobs from every era, hotrods, some things on wheels that you've probably never seen before, and it's all mixed in with numerous food vendors and acre after acre of flea market booths that you just can't help but want to stop and browse through. And to make matters even more delicious, the Petit Jean Mountain Volunteer Fire Department also hosts it's annual catfish fish fry fundraiser on car show Saturday -- it's the biggest day of the whole week and the fire department is handing out the very best food to be found throughout the entire festival grounds. It's a mountain-top festival not quite like any other all mixed together with some of the best food in the land...and 2013 really rocked as the 55th Annual Petit Jean Mountain Car Show & Swap meet was the best one ever. Lots of cool cars, lots of great food, lots of fun times, and the very best of friends everywhere you looked.

Petit Jean Mountain, Arkansas
The photos and movie clips in this movie were shot while several members from The Hays Senior Citizen's Center made a bus trip to Petit Jean Mountain near Morrilton, Arkansas. Petit Jean Mountain is the location of the home of the late Winthrop Rockefeller. We all had lunch and visited the Antique Auto Museum. We all had a great time while the tree leaves were beautiful colors.
The 2015 CC Kruzzer's Car Club Morrilton Car Show
The 2015 CC Kruzzer's Car Club Morrilton Car Show was held in Morrilton, Arkansas on Saturday May the 9th. The show, which lasted all morning and well into the afternoon, was very well attended with numerous club members and classic and custom car owners taking part in it. And, even though there were a few sporadic rain showers, everybody that attended and participated with in the car show had a very enjoyable time. So if you've got a hot rod heart then get your motor running, head out on the highway, and enjoy the show :-)

A Drive in Town Fort Smith Arkansas
A Drive in Town Fort Smith, Arkansas
Fort Smith, Arkansas lies on the Arkansas-Oklahoma state border, situated at the junction of the Arkansas and Poteau Rivers, also known as Belle Point. The city began as a western frontier military post in 1817 and would later become well known for its role in the settling of the Wild West and its law enforcement heritage.
In 2007, Fort Smith was selected by the United States Department of the Interior to be the location of the new United States Marshals Service National Museum (which as not been build yet).
The site of Fort Smith became part of the United States in the Louisiana Purchase (1803). Soon after, the Pike Expedition (1806) explored the Arkansas River. Fort Smith was founded in 1817 as a military post, but the Army abandoned the first Fort Smith in 1824 and moved 80 miles further west to Fort Gibson. Army sutler and land speculator John Rogers (who some genealogists claim to be an ancestor to 20th-century Oklahoma comedian Will Rogers) bought up former government-owned lands and promoted growth of the new civilian town of Fort Smith, eventually influencing the federal government to re-establish a strong military presence at Fort Smith during the era of Indian Removal and the Mexican War.

A brief history of the Train Depot in my hometown of Morrilton, Arkansas. This film is the product of a final project for my New South course at Arkansas Tech University. I hope you enjoy!
Exploring Arkansas November 2017
Founded in 1964 by the late Governor Wintrhop Rockefeller, The Museum of Automobiles atop Petit Jean Mountain near Morrilton, has a collection of more than fifty vehicles that rival any other car museum in the mid-south -including cars owned by celebrities and Presidents. A former world champion chainsaw carver, Kay Jackson now wows passers-by through the town of Alpena with her roadside chainsaw carving shop. The Spadra Creek Nature Trail is a gem of a scenic trail, smack dab in the middle of Clarksville. The Fort Smith Visitor Center happens to be the only former bordello, known as Miss Laura's Social Club that's listed on the National Register of Historic Places. And, Futrell Pharmacy in Pocahontas happens to be the oldest drugstore in the state, complete with a soda fountain.
