Eclipse Camera - Citizen Science Project for the 2019 Total Solar Eclipse
available for both iOS and Android devices, Eclipse Camera 2019 will help users take stunning photos and video of this once-in-a-lifetime event and share them with scientists.
The app uses the phone’s built-in technologies, like the compass and accelerometer, to help users capture the best possible images of the solar eclipse over Argentina and Chile on July 2, 2019.

Solar Eclipse and General Relativity!
On June 7, 2017, astronomers announced that they had used the Hubble Space Telescope to observe a strange effect of Einstein’s general theory of relativity. As a white dwarf moved in front of a background star, they saw the background star appear to shift because the white dwarf’s gravity was warping the space in between- an effect called gravitational lensing. It was only the second time in history this effect had been measured for a single star. It was first observed on May 29, 1919 during a total solar eclipse. The astronomer Sir Arthur Eddington had set out to check Einstein’s theory, published just four years earlier. Eddington’s observation of the Sun’s gravitational lensing made headlines around the world and helped make the theory of relativity famous.

Coast to coast ka ching! Eclipse tourism brings in millions | latest news
Call it coast-to-coast ka-ching!
Just 2-3 minutes of darkness during the Aug. 21 total solar eclipse is bringing in millions of tourist dollars from Oregon to South Carolina as hotels, campgrounds, restaurants and museums enjoy a phenomenal boon to business.
Nashville, the largest U.S. city entirely in the path of the total eclipse, estimates 50,000-75,000 visitors will stay overnight and spend a total of $15 to $20 million, said Heather Middleton of the city's tourism board, VisitMusicCity.com.
Since this is an event that's never happened before, it's difficult to know exactly, she added.

The longest total eclipse of the sun of this century triggered tourist fever in Asia as astronomy enthusiasts from home and abroad flocked to watch the event The eclipse was visible from within a narrow corridor that begins in India and crosses through Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Myanmar and China. Slide 10 of 11: BRAZIL - APRIL 27: Photograph (bromide print) showing the instruments used by the British expedition sent to observe total solar eclipse on 29 May 1919 from Sobral in Brazil. Sir Arthur Eddington at Cambridge University organised the eclipse trip to try and test Einstein's Theory of Relativity. During the event, two heliostats with moveable mirrors were used to direct images of the eclipsed Sun into a pair of horizontal telescopes. Measurement of photographs taken through these instruments was checked for any deflection of star positions adjacent to the Sun. Einstein suggested that the large mass of a star like our Sun would bend the path of any starlight if it passed close-by. (Photo by SSPL/Getty Images)

Listening is a more natural way of learning, when compared to reading. Written language only began at around 3200 BC, but spoken language has existed long ago.
Learning by listening is a great way to:
- increases imagination and understanding
- improves your listening skills
- improves your own spoken accent
- learn while on the move
- reduce eye strain
Now learn the vast amount of general knowledge available on Wikipedia through audio (audio article). You could even learn subconsciously by playing the audio while you are sleeping! If you are planning to listen a lot, you could try using a bone conduction headphone, or a standard speaker instead of an earphone.

SUMMARY
=======
Sir Arthur Stanley Eddington (28 December 1882 – 22 November 1944) was an English astronomer, physicist, and mathematician of the early 20th century who did his greatest work in astrophysics. He was also a philosopher of science and a populariser of science. The Eddington limit, the natural limit to the luminosity of stars, or the radiation generated by accretion onto a compact object, is named in his honour.
Around 1920, he anticipated the discovery and mechanism of nuclear fusion processes in stars, in his paper The Internal Constitution of the Stars. At that time, the source of stellar energy was a complete mystery; Eddington was the first to correctly speculate that the source was fusion of hydrogen into helium.
He is famous for his work concerning the theory of relativity. Eddington wrote a number of articles that announced and explained Einstein's theory of general relativity to the English-speaking world. World War I severed many lines of scientific communication and new developments in German science were not well known in England. He also conducted an expedition to observe the solar eclipse of 29 May 1919 that provided one of the earliest confirmations of general relativity, and he became known for his popular expositions and interpretations of the theory.
