GRUTO PARKAS known as STALIN WORLD Theme Park (Budget Travel Lithuania) {Druskininkai, LITHUANIA}
Budget Travel Lithuania #1
Gruto Parkas, known as Stalin World Theme Park, is an eerie reminder of Eastern Europe's communist past.
Tucked inside a remote forest, just inside the border of rural Lithuania, is an eclectic collection of statues and sculptures. After many works of communist art and Soviet propaganda in this previous USSR republic were destroyed and trashed during the transition from Moscow rule to its present day democracy and freedom, several hundred socialist pieces were still saved and salvaged.
Stroll with Matt in the isolation of a gulag-like setting to experience what life behind the Iron Curtain was like when always under a watchful eye of public figurines.
And if you don't like Lenin or Stalin, Gruto Parkas contains llamas!

In other words, the successful realisation of it can leave the door slightly ajar...
