Trip to Shiga prefecture!

Class trip nr 2 took us to Shiga prefecture, to Sagawa Art Museum and Omi Hachiman village. Not as exciting as the trip to Ise Jingu was, but still worth it.
..I still don't know the real name of the hobbit house o__o

Paintings by Malcolm William Clayton
Malcolm William Clayton, painter, poet and linguist, was born in Lancashire in 1954. Gifted in art from a young age, Malcolm self taught and established his artistic identity whilst reading English at Cambridge University and acquiring a PhD in applied linguistics from the University of London.
Dissatisfied with readily available materials and common techniques, Malcolm ultimately developed his own unique medium and style. The resultant effect is mid-way between oil and water colour.
As well as excelling in the world of literature and linguistics, Malcolm was a successful artist whose talent was recognised through major art competitions in both England and Japan where he resided. At his death in 1999 he left approximately one thousand works in total, hundreds of which are already held in both public and private collections.
I, who have cast nets
Needs-must weave the thread
And out of dark,
Catch the silver moment.
(Poem by Malcolm William Clayton at the age of 17)

Lansing is the capital of the U.S. state of Michigan. It is located mostly in Ingham County, although portions of the city extend west into Eaton County and north into Clinton County. The 2010 Census placed the city's population at 114,297, making it the fifth largest city in Michigan. The population of its Metropolitan Statistical Area was 464,036, while the even larger Combined Statistical Area population, which includes Shiawassee County, was 534,684. It was named the new state capital of Michigan in 1847, ten years after its admittance as a state.
The Lansing Metropolitan Area, colloquially referred to as Mid-Michigan, is an important center for educational, cultural, governmental, commercial, and industrial functions. The area is home to two medical schools, one veterinary school, two nursing schools, two law schools—including Western Michigan University and Michigan State University—a Big Ten Conference university, the Michigan State Capitol, the state Supreme Court, the Court of Appeals, a federal court, the Library of Michigan and Historical Center, and headquarters of four national insurance companies.
