Soviet Lifestyle Museum in Kazan, Russia.
Soviet Era Museum in Kazan
The city of Kazan lies SE of Moscow and there I came across a fascinating museum full of objects recalling how life was back in the USSR.
Kazan city, Russia on $100. Foobtall, Big Eats and Cheerleaders.
Kazan is Russia’s third capital and is dotted with brand new stadiums, fine architecture, and fun things to do. Tim only has two days and $100 to show you all the food, attractions, and events recommended to us by Kazan's locals. In this episode, Tim will learn how to make a Tatar culinary treat, steal things from the local team’s locker room, and “dance” with the most beautiful ladies in town!

Inside of The Biggest TV Channel in Bashkortostan, Russia. Real Russia ep.34
Real Russia YouTube channel was created special for an intelligent western audience who wants to know about the real life in Russia, the biggest country in the World that in Soviet times was closed with an Iron Curtain, and now falsely known as a country of dash cam crashes, Vodka drunkards and white bears riding on a motorcycle.
For this reason, we always promoted our channel only to foreign people. We supposed it makes no sense for us spending our very limited promo budget for local audience which actually already knows most of what we are going to say.
So no wonder at first we've got noticed with RussiaToday, the biggest English-speaking channel in Russia and only then with Bashkortostan Satellite Television (BST), the biggest local government TV channel in Bashkortostan Republic of Russia.
We keep film everything interesting in Russia and, of course, we couldn't miss the possibility to make an episode about our visit for interview at BST channel.
In this video we'll get you inside of Bashkortostan Satellite Television and show their daily routine of producing the TV show called Vecher.com.
Thank You all for making this happen. Only thankful to all of your support and interest, we keep making this channel and still sure that no matter what everything just begins. Too many work yet is waiting for us and hope you will stay tuned!
And special thanks to all Vecher.com TV crew for an invitation!

WE FOUND AN ABANDONED SOVIET MILITARY BARRACKS IN RUSSIA
In this Episode of our Adventure along the Trans-Siberian Railway in Russia, we arrive in Vladivostok in Primorsky Krai after 80 hours on the train from Ulan-Ude, and head out into the deep green wilderness.
Here, we meet some friends and explore Russia's beautiful landscape. While doing so, we encountered an abandoned military barracks. I had heard a lot about the abandoned Soviet Military Bases in eastern Europe, and even went urban exploring a military bunker once, but nothing like this.
After we returned to the camp, and caught fresh seafood with our hands, made a pasta, and drank around a campfire. The perfect day.
A bit of a background story. This is a train journey of 10,000 km across Russia, the biggest country in the world. 25 days to visit Saint Petersburg, Moscow, Kazan, Yekaterinburg, Krasnoyarsk, Ulan-Ude, and Vladivostok.

The Museum Home of Vladimir Lenin in Ulyanovsk (with English Subtitles)
Guided video tour of the house of Vladimir Lenin in Russia.
Founded as Simbirsk on the banks of the river Sviyaga, a tributary of the Volga, in 1648 as the fort which meant to protect the eastern frontier of the Russian Empire from the nomadic tribes and to establish a permanent Imperial presence in the area, the city was renamed Ulyanovsk in 1924 in honor of Vladimir Ulyanov, better known as Lenin, who was born in Simbirsk in 1870.
Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov, the Russian politician, Communist revolutionary and political theorist. Lenin was born into a wealthy well educated middle-class family. His father was the Director of Public Schools in Simbirsk district (which nowadays can be associated with a position of a Secretary of Education) overseeing the foundation of over 450 schools as a part of the government's plans for modernisation. Lenin's mother had relatively prosperous background and was the daughter of a German–Swedish woman and a Russian Jewish physician who served the royal family.
This video presents the first half of the official guide tour of the House where Vladimir Lenin spent his childhood from the age of 8 until his graduation from Simbirsk school gimnasia when he decided to study law at Kazan University at the age of 17. It will give you a fascinating insight on the life of one of the most famous figures of Russian history.
You will visit with us:
- the living room. Check out the interior of the house in Simbirsk from the 19th century
- the father's office. You will learn about Lenin's father and why he was an awesome man
- the guest hall. You will see the Ulyanov family pictures and hear the story of Lenin's older brother trying to assassin the tsar
- the mother's room. You will find out about Lenin's ancestors and learn that he has a colorful genes mix
- the dining room. You will learn more about the poor fortune of Lenin's mother
- the nanny's room. You will see the genuine trunk box from the 19th century

Language no barrier for ‘gastronauts’ in Tatarstan - Taste of Russia Ep. 27
Oscar and Glen continue their exploration of Tatarstan at an ethnic museum that recreates Tatar village life back through the centuries.
Watch more films about Food & Cooking:
After examining the inner workings of a wooden windmill built by women during World War II, they begin cooking by whipping up some delicious potato pancakes and then, after a quick break for a sleigh ride, make a big meat and potato pie. The only problem is their instructor speaks very quickly and continuously slips into the Tatar language when barking out orders, which thoroughly befuddles Glen.
While the pie is baking in a wood-fired oven, the friends check out the village’s camel herd. They are surprised to learn that, unlike their desert cousins, these shaggy camels can tolerate temperatures down to -50°C and produce lactose-free milk.
As the day ends, Oscar and Glen sit down with the locals to partake in a real Tatar feast, complete with music, song, national costumes and, of course, the amazing dishes they’ve made!
