OPIR Investigation at the Museum of the Highwood, High River, Alberta
This is a sample of the video we captured during our initial walkthrough at the Museum of the Highwood. We captured a strange light anomaly in the communications room. When the museum used to be a functioning train station, this room was used as the luggage room. During our main investigation, we were unable to re-create this anomaly.

Disaster Recovery at the Museum of the Highwood — Alberta Museums Association
Through the Museum Flood Funding Program, the Alberta Museums Association (AMA) has provided millions of dollars to support recovery, treatment, and preventive conservation efforts at sites across the province. In addition, the Program aims to provide resources and tools to prepare institutions for disaster planning and mitigate damage in the event of future flooding.
In an effort to expand the impact and reach of the invaluable learning opportunities that occurred as a result of the flooding, the AMA has created a series of workshops, podcasts, and videos detailing the experiences and lessons gained through the recovery process. This video highlights the aftermath of the flooding at the Museum of the Highwood.

Highwood Music Festival 92 (High River, Ab)
Highwood Music Festival '92 (High River, AB)
Featuring excerpts from bands Agony Pipe, Zen, The Highrollers, Tad, Ramada Gods, Day of Eden, Furnaceface, Anxious Poets, Huevos Rancheros and more.
I was digging thru my storage, came across some old vhs tapes and discovered some vintage footage of the Highwood Music Festival. Considering the fact that my mind was hallucigenized at the time, not remember performing it or even being there, thought it best to preserve the moment and assemble and upload whatever evidence there was of that spectacular and magical weekend, so that it doesn't slip thru the hands of time and be all but forgotten.
So enjoy.
A shout out to Paul Hughes for curating the event, to all the Calgary, Alberta and Canadian bands that took part in it and created a wicked vibrant music scene for the time. And thanks to whomever it was that documented all the footage...cuz I have no clue who did or how it ended up in my hands.
Good times it was, indeed.

Now did anyone get footage of the Dead Milkmen or the Smalls?
Would be cool to see the other 50 bands footage, if any.

Why are we sending you to our Patreon and asking $1.00?
Because all the features to build our hobby community are deactivated, you can no longer leave a comment on this video. This leaves out the hobbyists that are over the maximum COPPA age requirement who want to share tips and advice different from the content in my video. We can build the community on a safer platform, which is Patreon, because Patreon uses PayPal.
According to PayPal's rules, a person must be at least 18 years old to open an account. PayPal is a service that uses a person's personal information as well as a bank account to make a purchase online. It is illegal to enter into a contract of this type unless you are an emancipated minor. Since a person needs to be an adult to have a PayPal account, this “suggestion” will still allow you to join in the fun of building a hobby community while helping Monster Hobbies to continue it's practice of protecting a child's online data and keeping the internet as a safe place for children.
Thank you for your understanding!

In 2017, Monster Hobbies hosted Dr Jekyll from 1920 as a Monster Model Kit Movie Night at The Museum of the Highwood in High River Alberta Canada.
This video shows what that night looked like and what can be done with the Moebius model kit.
To begin with, I built the Moebius Dr. Jekyll as Mr. Hyde model kit with the Posthumous Productions John Barrymore replacement head and painted him wearing a white lab coat, blue pants, blue striped socks, black shoes and a blue shirt. All paint colors are from Citadel.
The medical office/laboratory was built using a home made 19wide x15tall x12 deep wooden box and picture frame. I lined the inside of the box with 1/4 Styrofoam insulation sheets and cut out a door opening at a 45% angle and constructed the door from Balsa Wood and Popsicle sticks stained with wood stain and then shellacked.
The small desk, test tubes, glass bottles and Bunsen burner all came from the kit. The periodic table on the wall is correct for the time period and contains all the elements known for 1869.
The large desk was made by taking the measurements from an old BC Tel desk that my Dad owns and then reducing the measurements to 1/8th scale. I rebuilt the desk using balsa wood sheets and balsa strips. I also stained and shellacked the desk to match all the other wood in the display.
On the desk, we see a few books. One of them is the Voynich Manuscript that I made by scaling down some images of the book from the internet, printing them off, and then making them into a 1/8th scale version of the book.
Another item in my display is the small glass dome displaying a strange type of plant. The dome came from some small shadowbox items from Michael's and the plant is some lichen from model railway supplies and depicts a bizarre plant from the Voynich Manuscript.
The medical charts behind the desk include a spinal anatomy chart from the 1800's and a poster for the Dr. Acula Phrenology head that sits on the desk. Phrenology was a popular practice in this time period in which Doctors could tell a person's psychological make-up based on the bumps on their head. The Phrenology head was made using a spare Dracula head I had in my collection and painted to match other Phrenology heads of the time period.
The bookshelf was also made from Balsa Wood sheets and the books came from Michael's doll house stock. The bottles came from Michael's, but I filled them with kitchen spices and colored water to make them look like they were full of medicines. I even made a few boxes out of paper for the storage boxes of the glass bottles. The rolled up scrolls on the top of the bookcase are actually medical charts.
The bookshelf above the desk was also made from balsa sheets and they contain books, bottles based off the pictures from an old Alchemy book I found online, a bottle of blue potion with a hand painted gold star, and some mason type jars with yellow and red pills in them from a doll house display I pirated.
The far wall contains a home made work bench where the Doctor is brewing up some secret formula. The bottles are from Michael's, filled with colored water. I made the coiled wire and bottle stands as well as the candles by putting white sprue into a hand drill and then turning on the drill and cutting the sprue with a hobby saw. I then painted the center black to look like a wick.
The little metal trays came from Michael's, but the spilled beaker, fluid, and rat were included in the Moebius kit.
I hope you enjoyed my Dr. Jekyll model kit display and movie night.
