Discover a Dutch Steam Train Adventure - The Netherlands, 4K

The ‘Veluwsche Stoomtrein Maatschappij’ (VSM) is a steam train company that operates a tourist train service on the Dieren - Apeldoorn railway line on the Veluwe in the Dutch province of Gelderland. The steam train rides are popular with tourists, which is why the VSM runs for example every Sunday from the beginning of April to the end of October.
The VSM Museum Station is located in Beekbergen, where you can also find the steam depot and the locomotive shed, including the workshops.
VSM has an impressive and varied fleet of rolling stock including a large collection of old steam and diesel locomotives, historical coaches and wagons.
In 1887 the Dieren-Apeldoorn-Zwolle railway line was constructed by order of King William III. The king had set his sights on the economic development of the area, but could also not deny the convenience of having a comfortable way of travelling to and from Palace Het Loo, and one of his favourite country estates, the Hof te Dieren in Dieren.
