KRAKOW (CRACOW), EXPLORING the exceptional POLISH PAINTERS ????️ MUSEUM, POLAND
SUBSCRIBE: - Here's my review of the exceptional Polish Painters Museum located in the center of the beautiful city of Krakow in Poland. The gallery is divided into a series of salons that take you on a tour of Polish art history. Among them are the Enlightenment Room, featuring both Polish and foreign classicists, the Michalowski Room, featuring Polish romanticism and the beginnings of nationalist art, and the Chelmonski Room, displaying Polish impressionism and the beginnings of symbolism. Some of the most famous historical paintings of local 19th-century artist Jan Matejko can be seen.
Poland is the sixth most populous member state of the European Union.[8] Poland's capital and largest metropolis is Warsaw. The Core Exhibition is a journey through 1000 years of the history of Polish Jews – from the Middle Ages until today. Visitors will find answers to questions such as: how did Jews come to Poland? Spend a day in Wrocław. Our last day in Poland.
If you're looking for things to do in Wroclaw, Poland this is the video for you. We start our day at the University of Wroclaw to climb the mathematical tower and see the fantastic view of the city. Later we explore the Old Town and Market Square and have lunch at Vinyl Cafe. We later have beers at Kontynuacja, and lastly have dinner at our hotel, The Art Hotel restaurant.
Book our Hotel:
Places featured in the video:
University of Wroclaw:
The University of Wrocław is a public research university located in Wrocław, Poland. The University of Wrocław was founded in 1945, replacing the previous German University of Breslau.
The Maths Tower
The Maths Tower is located in the main building of the University of Wrocław. Its rooms currently serve as exposition halls of the Museum of the University of Wrocław, and the terrace may be used to admire the beautiful city panorama. The relatively low level of the terrace (ca. 42 m) allows for an easy identification of all visible objects, which include church towers and contemporary skyscrapers. The entrance tickets are sold until 30 minutes before the closure of the terrace.
Old Town Wroclaw:
Wroclaw's Old Town is not only its historical centre but also today's social and cultural centre. Here you will find, not only the city's most splendid architecture but also its best shops, restaurants, bars, galleries and museums.
The very epicentre and life hub of the Old Town is of course the Main Market Square, or 'Rynek'. This amazing space was painstakingly reconstructed after WW2 to recall the Baroque splendour of its heyday. Here the good citizens of Wroclaw gather to eat, shop, drink, dance and generally mill about. More than one tourist has never make it past this pleasure spot, such is its allure
The Market Square, Wrocław:
The Market Square, Wrocław is a medieval market square in Wrocław, now the heart of a pedestrian zone. The square is rectangular with the dimensions 213 by 178 metres.
Vinyl Cafe, Wroclaw:
This groovy little cafe is an obvious labour of love, and old school audiophiles will literally feel right at home with the living room arrangement around the hi-fi record player. Full of cosy armchairs, crates of vinyl LPs and shelves of books, come in, pick out a 45, curl up with a coffee or beer and a book and you've got yourself the perfect afternoon.
Kontynuacja Wroclaw:
A great beer with an amazing, and unique choice of craft beers, cool ambience and very friendly staff

Future Generation Art Prize 2012 - Agnieszka Polska, Poland
Agnieszka Polska was born in 1985 in Lublin, Poland. She lives and works in Berlin and Cracow. Polska graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow and from the Universität der Künste, Berlin. She first began exhibiting her works in Cracow in 2007. Since then she has participated in group exhibitions at KW Institute for Contemporary Art, Berlin, in 2010 and 2011 and Tate Modern, London, in 2012. Polska won the Grand Prix in the Geppert Award 2011 for her video piece How the Work Is Done.
The specific visual language of Agnieszka Polska's films has been developed out of animation techniques. Some images are literally taken from or inspired by the art-historical tradition, at other times the filmed image is transformed by animation. Polska combines this visual style with an exploration of narrative possibilities, often focusing on an artist figure, as self-reflection or tribute to largely forgotten Polish avant-garde artists. At the same time Polska's work is a reflection on a social-societal context which grows out of personalized stories.
For the PinchukArtCentre Polska has created a new multi-channel film installation which balances between the sculptural impact of the installation and the visual power of her filmic language.
