St Ives, Cornwall -- Seals at Mutton Cove
Crowds of seals on the beach at Mutton Cove, near St Ives, Cornwall. In spring seals and their pups gather in this quiet, secluded little cove. As well as seeing them you can hear their strange calls; sometimes wailing and sometimes honking barks. If you listen to the video carefully you can hear them.

Godrevy Surfers - October 10th 2018
Took the Phantom down the beach on the way back from work to catch the surfers.
A persistent 17mph wind from the SE was quite challenging for drones and surfers alike.

Cornish seals are amazing but must be left alone from September to the end of December due to the pupping season and the stress it can cause to the mothers. They are very inquisitive as you can see in the video and like to interact with humans.
The Grey Seal – Halichoerus grypus qualifies as the UKs largest land mammal as it regularly hauls itself out into isolated coves around the Cornish coast.
One such site is Mutton Cove, part of the Site of Special Scientific Interest & Area of Oustanding Natural Beauty at Godrevy, perched at the northern end of Hayle’s “3 miles of golden sands”. Here at Mutton Cove it is possible to observe these beautiful animals from the cliff top without disturbing them if you respect their need for a calm environment and follow a few simple rules.
Grey Seals on the crowded beach at Mutton CoveParking in the National Trust car park at Godrevy Point, (there is a charge during the summer months for non members), follow the footpath that heads north, (seemingly away from the coast), and after 200 metres of easy walking up a slight incline you will arrive at the wooden barrier at the top of the cliff overlooking Mutton Cove. On a good day there may be 30 or more Grey Seals ashore.
However please be aware that even though you are at the top of the cliff when viewing the seals on the shingle beach below it is very important that you keep noise to a minimum, including voices, and barking dogs. Physically keeping a low profile as you watch is also extremely important. While enjoying the privileged views of these wild creatures it vital that you respect their need for a calm environment and encourage others to do so.

Sunshine, Seals, Surf and Sand: Gwithian Cornwall 2015
Like all photographers I had to take my camera on holiday with me. The music is by Moby and adds to the serenity and beauty of the video. This is one of my favourite surfing spots and also my firt attempt at filming video. I had to use the 20 X optical zoom for both the seals and the surfing, but been tripod mounted the quality is not too bad. So I hope you enjoy my holiday snaps.

Dolphins seen in St Ives a week before ten were found dead - Daily Mail
Pollution, trawler nets, bad weather and jet skiers are all likely causes for the demise of ten dolphins in as many days around West Country beaches, with the latest found in St Ives, Cornwall. Between January and March last year, 61 dolphins, porpoises and whales were found dead around Cornwall's coast, the steepest rise in the death toll since 2006, according to the Cornwall Wildlife Trust.
