My visit to Hanagae Beach on Muuido Island in South Korea

A group of friends and I went to Muuido Island to celebrate Mimsie's birthday! Watch the video to see the fun!!! ^^
If you don't know who Mimsie is, you should. Mimsie Ladner is the very popular blogger for 'Seoul Searching', a blog site about all the cool things to see and do in Korea, with many more in-depth reviews than other blog sites out there!
Her content is amazing and high-quality! Mimsie is an awesome friend who has been featured across various media and news outlets, has been on various Korean TV programs, and even has an awesome guide book about Korea with Tuttle Publishing that will be coming out later on! (She's also Marie's former roommate, and they also did some TV shows together for Arirang TV!)

Anyway, Muuido Island is an awesome escape from the Seoul area. The best thing about it? It's very close! Muuido is a short bus ride and even shorter ferry boat ride, from Incheon Airport!
Catch the #222 Blue Bus from Incheon Airport, on the 2nd level road outside of the terminal. It goes to the Muuido Island ferry dock! A round trip ticket is only 3,000 Won to Muuido Island, and the ride is possibly the shortest trip on a boat I've ever taken, for its size. It was only 5 minutes!
We went to Muuido's Hanagae Beach, which was a short village bus ride away from the ferry. Upon arrival, we saw a small little community setup, featuring a small mart, restaurants serving fresh seafood, rental sheds for sleeping, and a zipline tower!
We all had a good time, and lots of fun, despite the overcast weather. Thought it was overcast, we all got a lot of sun still... the UV rays come through clouds as if they don't exist. I definitely got a tan that day!
After many hours of alcohol, frisbee tossing, and swimming in the water, pretty much everyone except Marie and I had to go. Marie and I decided last second to stay and rent a little shed to sleep in.
The next day, when the tide pulled out, the mud flats were exposed, so Marie and I ventured out to the tide's edge and had an awesome time! It was such a great experience! I highly recommend everyone to try it! You can walk on the mud very easily, you won't sink in it at all!

Muuido Weekend
Take a peek into our most spontaneous and crazy trip to Muuido, a small island, just a ferry away from the Incheon mainland. It was a celebratory trip for so many reasons--the new year, Tala and Adam's anniversary, the KU babies' thesis completion and graduation and Kim's new work assignment! It might be our last trip with everyone still in Seoul so I did some flimsy attempts to document it! Enjoy!
