Segeln Kos - Dodekans & Mykonos Ferien 2011 (Sailing in Greece)
Zu zweit eine gemütliche Segel-Bade-Woche (100SM) in der Ägäis. Start von der Marina Kos zu den nördlich gelegenen Inseln der Dodekanes. Nur Sonne, Wind, gutes Essen (ausser der Wein) und freundliche Griechen. Obwohl wir jeden Tag 4 - 6 Beaufort hatten und wir noch nicht so viele Seemeilen haben, war die Bavaria 36 Cruiser leicht zu handhaben. Uns fehlt aber immer noch das erste römisch katholisch Anlegemanöver.
Anschliessend eine Woche Landurlaub auf Mykonos.
A relaxing sailing and beach week (100NM) in the Aegis. Starting from the Marina Kos to the northern islands of the Dodecanese. Just sun, wind and lovely food (except the wine) and people. Although we had every day 4 – 6 Beaufort and we didn’t had that much experience at all, the Bavaria 36 Cruiser was easy to handle. But we are still missing our first “stern to” manoeuvre.
Followed by one week holidays on Mykonos.

A Day On a Sailboat in Greece! - Mykonos On Board
How can Mykonos get any better, from our luxury ocean view villa, private chef, great friends and good times. I know, let's go out on a sailboat and get up close with that clear blue water! Mykonos On Board generously took us on our final day in Mykonos. It had been so windy the previous days we thought we might miss the chance to go out on the sailboat.
It was so nice to cruise around the little islands, we stopped in a couple harbors to relax and enjoy the scenery. Mansoureh even jumped in the chilly water, no one else followed her. We learned a little bit about the Greek Islands and the history of the area. Overall a very nice time, I'm so glad we were able to experience this on our last day.

After docking on the Island of Mykonos, we took the free shuttle to the town of Chora. We arrived early, around 0730. Walk through Little Venice, to the 16th-century windmills, which sit on a hill above Mykonos town. We hiked 1/2 mile up the steps to the top of the town of another windmill to get a panoramic view of the city.
Mykonos Beaches Sailaway in Mykonos, Greece - What to Do on Your Day in Port
This is a quick video of a shore excursion we took in Mykonos, Greece. The name of our tour was Mykonos Beaches Sailaway. We booked it onboard for $100 US each. We are on a 10 day Greek Islands cruise on Royal Caribbean's Jewel of the Seas. This tour was not too great. We never hoisted the sails and therefore we did not 'sail'. We motored around to a cove where some people swam in very cold water. Then we motored a little further to a beach where we stayed about an hour. Then back to the ship. We probably could have taken a bus or taxi to the same places for a lot less and spent a lot more time at the beach.
We took the tour to go sailing. We asked the captain on the way back when he was going to put up the sails. He said maybe next time, as if. They also served a snack with a beer. we went to get another and they wanted a Euro.
We do not recommend this shore excursion unless you enjoy motor boating.
