Abandoned Temple in Japan: Myohoji
On the way back from Sugao no Taki, Lexi spotted a trail leading up to a building and we decided to check it out. I didn't know at the time but this Buddhist temple is called Myohoji (妙法寺). It looks like it might be abandoned. I searched for hours trying to find more info about this place, there is zero information, even search Japanese sources. We took a quick look around and afterwards we went to Round One in Kokura to escape the rain. The Spocha at Round One is really nice.

aproach to the shrine. Visitors have to go thru huge TORI to get to the main part of the shrine where you pray. First one has to go thru the cleansing ritual. Washing ones hands ( left first,then right , then left again), then rinse your mouth to cleanse that part of you....traditionall one also swallowed a mouthful of water to complete the purification before we can aproach the shrine. Esse caminho e para a entrada do templo onde a gente pode rezar. Elles tem tanta tentacao antes de chegar para gastar dinheiro e comprar algo. Eu nao gosto do comercializmo do religiao.

During year (1573-92) Shinshige Mamiya had encouraged to plant many plum trees since then this area
was known as Sugita's plum grove.

Walking in a forest | Mt. Tachibana - Hiking in Japan (Fukuoka)
Fukuoka hiking! I climbed Mt.Tachibana (立花山 tachibanayama) to see the giant camphor trees in the forest and Tachibana castle ruins. I love being surrounded in nature!

I had a little time this morning so I chose this short hike just a short drive from the wombat burrow (my house). The trees were so beautiful and the view is great at the top.

Buddha Temple inside Japanese Peace Pagoda Darjeeling
Japanese Peace Pagoda is located on the top of an elevation and therefore needs a lot of climbing (from Darjeeling bus stand) to reach there. We walked for more than an hour to reach there. This is established by a Buddhist monk Nichidatsu Fujii, who pledged for non-violence after the bombing of Hirosima in 1945. This stupa was constructed during 1972-1992. When you enter into the premises, there is a Buddha temple and a pillar. The guruji inside the temple allowed us to take pictures inside the temple. After the temple there is the beautiful stupa (Pagoda). As the stupa is located at significant height you can get beautiful views of the surroundings and mount kanchanjunga from here. This is one of the best places to visit in Darjeeling.

Videoblog No. 25 - Clouds over Yokohama City at Sunset
Here's another little video clip of Yokohama city at sunset with the clouds scudding through the sky. This video was shot from the same place as the last one I posted, the Osanbashi pier which overlooks the harbour and city. I'll post a few more details about it tomorrow when I plan to put up a collection of photos from the pier and will explain a bit more about it. As before this video has been sped up so the clouds are moving even faster than they were in real life! You can see the skyline of the city very clearly though, with the ferris wheel and crescent shaped hotel silhouetted against the sky. Once again, the J-Pop soundtrack is what we could actually hear from the pier as there was a rather loud gig going on further down the bay...

Japanese Peace Pagoda is one of the most popular attractions in the Darjeeling city of West Bengal. It is one of those Peace Pagodas (Buddhist stupas) in the world that have been established with the aim of creating a special niche for enlightening people from all religions, creeds and origins, to come together and work for world peace. It was build under the supervision of a Buddhist Monk, Nichidatsu Fujii, who was also the founder and preceptor of Nipponzan Myohoji, a Buddhist order for word peace.
The foundation stone of the Japanese Peace Pagoda in Darjeeling was laid down by Fujii himself, on 3rd November 1972. However, this Pagoda was inaugurated after his death, in 1992, by his senior most disciples. Nichidatsu Fujii, popularly known as Fujii Guruji, was also a close associate of Mahatma Gandhi. Perturbed by the tragedy that followed the dropping of atom bombs in Hiroshima and Nagasaki, in 1945, Nichidatsu Fujii pledged to teach the world the importance of non-violence, goodwill and harmony.
Japanese Peace Pagoda of Darjeeling comes across as one of Fujii's efforts to teach world a lesson of spirituality and peace. It was designed by Dr M Ohka of Japan. This pagoda, which is 28.5 meters long and 23 meters in diameter, still stands as a sacred symbol of harmony and brotherhood, inspiring the entire world. The only motive of this sacred testament is to establish unity, harmony and goodwill amongst people belonging to different sects of society. Whenever you happen to visit Darjeeling, make sure to pay a visit to this 'peace monument'.

2019.06.25 あじさい祭 / 山梨県 小室山妙法寺 [4K] #Hydrangea #Yamanashi
昨年に続き、今年も山梨県のあじさい寺『小室山妙法寺』を訪れました。昨年は小雨降る中であわただしく短時間の撮影でしたが、今年は梅雨の晴れ間の中で落ち着いて撮影できました。
境内に咲く色とりどりのあじさい約2万本は、全体的にはまだ7分咲きといったところでした。梅雨時期のあじさいではありますが、晴天に恵まれましたので、映像は爽やかな雰囲気で仕上げてみました。
あじさい祭は6/30（日）までの開催です。
