STORYLINE:
Kim Jong Il, North Korea's reclusive leader, agreed on Wednesday to hold talks with visiting European officials about his mystery-cloaked missile program and tensions between North and South Korea.
But EU chief, Prime Minister Goran Persson of Sweden, says her delegation will not bring up US plans of a missile defence program recently announced by President George W Bush.
Persson, who holds the rotating EU presidency, became the first EU chief and Western European leader to visit North Korea on Wednesday.
The mission, including European External Affairs Commissioner Chris Patten and Javier Solana, High Representative for Common Foreign and Security policy of the EU, arrived earlier on Wednesday in Pyongyang from Stockholm via Beijing for a two-day official visit.
Persson said the talks also would cover the North's notorious human rights record, its widespread food shortages and its cautious interest in economic reforms.
Persson said last Thursday that the EU intends to express support for the reconciliation process underway between the two Koreas, whose 1950-1953 war ended in a truce leaving the Korean Peninsula divided and technically still at war.
The visit reflects the EU's intention to bring Pyongyang into the international community to ease worries by the West over North Korea's alleged development of missiles and weapons of mass destruction.
The EU also aims to flex its diplomatic muscle to contribute to the rapprochement on the Korean Peninsula amid the cautious approach toward North Korea adopted by the new US administration of President George W. Bush.
Many analysts fear the hard-line stance adopted by the Bush administration is hampering the reconciliation process between North and South Korea.

In this video Doctor Daygame shows you how to use an indirect opener i.e. to approach a woman under a pretext and then bridge to number close or to date her anyway. The difficult part in indirect opening is not how to start a conversation but how to keep a conversation going.
You should never stick to the opener. Instead lead the conversation to another topic as soon as possible. If there's a good bridge coming up to your mind, just use it spontaneously. If not just tell something about yourself. Just lead away from the opener!
It’s important to get away from the frame of a stranger asking for directions. Get the frame of two people getting to know each other in a great vibe. There's one thing rapidly bringing people together: a common task (e.g. wandering through the mall and looking for the right exit).
It's a good idea to force such situations. That's the reason why I asked her for the supermarket in the beginning.
I gave her a tiny ramp through saying, I can ask somebody else. And she gave me such a lot of compliance by saying, Nobody will be like me. That's a huge indicator of interest (IOI). Remember, she does not know I spproached her because I'm interested in her. So she's the one escalating my approach to a hot flirt.
We should marry“ is a so-called bubble (used in NLP). It's kind of an in-joke. A bubble brings off a sense of unity. You can use it for lots of great other stuff, too. E.g. I could close her through saying, When will we plan our honeymoon together?
The best thing about bubbles is to use them as callback the next day. This way you always can make her remember you and take her back to this happy, funny state.
Pay attention what she does with her hands. This playing around with her scarf and some other things she does are strong indicators of interest (IOIs).
Keep the conversation going while exchanging phone numbers.
Indirect daygame is more complicate than direct game, because you only can game her in addition to the pretext. I see lots of people failing with the bridge from the opener to the main conversation or to the number close.
An indirect opener is great in situations with high social pressure. When a woman is in a big group or with her parents e.g, a direct statement of intent could be uncomfortable or embarassing for her. The same thing is in closed rooms with overhearers, especially when she can't leave, like on trains. There it's better to open indirectly.
However when a woman is in a hurry, it's always better to open directly, so at least you have the chance to make a quick number close. If you open a women in a hurry indirectly, she may will answer your question but after that she most likely will move on.
Under good circumstances with neither hurry nor social pressure (like in this video) you can open either directly or indirectly.
So I'm curious about how you do approach women, directly or indirectly? Please write it into the comments under this video. If you want to see more of my infields please rate this video with a thumb up. And please leave a comment if you prefer videos with direct or indirect opener in future.
Good speed infield!

Time Shift - Nordic Noir: The Story of Scandinavian Crime Fiction
Italian Noir episode
Draw the curtains and dim the lights for a chilling trip north for a documentary which investigates the success of Scandinavian crime fiction and why it exerts such a powerful hold on our imagination.
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is a literary blockbuster that has introduced millions of readers to the phenomenon that is Scandinavian crime fiction - yet author Stieg Larsson spent his life in the shadows and didn't live to see any of his books published. It is one of the many mysteries the programme investigates as it travels to Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Iceland in search of the genre's most acclaimed writers and memorable characters.
It also looks at Henning Mankell's brooding Wallander series, with actor Krister Henriksson describing the challenge of bringing the character to the screen, and it asks why so many stories have a political subtext. The programme finds out how Stieg Larsson based the bestselling Millennium trilogy on his work as an investigative journalist and reveals the unlikely source of inspiration for his most striking character, Lisbeth Salander.
There are also segments on Jo Nesbo, the Norwegian rock star-turned-writer tipped to inherit Larsson's mantle, and Karin Fossum, an author whose personal experience of murder has had a profound effect on her writing.
